Among the largest dromaeosaurs, Utahraptor was a fearsome, feathered predator armed with massive sickle claws.
2. Tyrannosaurus rex
Possibly the most iconic dinosaur, T. rex was a massive apex predator with bone-crushing jaws and surprisingly keen senses.
3. Edmontosaurus
A gentle giant of the Late Cretaceous, it lived in herds and cared for its young, much like modern grazing animals.
4. Magyarosaurus (and its baby)
A dwarf sauropod from Hațeg Island, it adapted to island life by evolving a much smaller body size.
5. Daspletosaurus
Closely related to T. rex, Daspletosaurus was a powerful predator of western North America, with a robust, heavily built skull.
6. Stenonychosaurus
With a large brain and grasping hands, Stenonychosaurus may have been among the most intelligent dinosaurs of its time.
7. Dreadnoughtus
One of the largest known land animals, Dreadnoughtus was a titanosaur whose name means “fears nothing.”
8. Mapusaurus (juvenile)
Even as a juvenile, Mapusaurus was a formidable predator, and adults may have hunted in groups to take down giant sauropods.
9. Repenomamus
A rare example of a mammal that ate dinosaurs, Repenomamus was a stocky, badger-like predator that fed on hatchlings.
10. Cryodrakon
A giant pterosaur of Canada’s ancient skies, Cryodrakon soared above the dinosaurs with a wingspan as wide as a small plane.
