Yeah, I’m beginning to wonder if he’s used Ji-Ae (the relictombs librarian he moved to Taegrin Caelum) to produce vessels that can move souls. Arthur himself addressed that aether is powerful enough to even disembody someone’s consciousness from their physical body. It’s possible that Agrona has either a sovereign or “mostly-blooded” asuran “vessels” for his mind to move into. If this is the case, a sovereign is most likely, as a full blooded asuran would have quite the vast mana core reserve

I'm more just curious what it possibly could show since by all accounts it's from Dicathen. I suppose they will check it out though

It seemed like the Instiller was scared of the content of the crystal. If he was there wth Dragoth to watch it, he would also be aware of the tampering. Why be scared of something you know is fake? I find it more likely it shows some type of proof/evidence that agrona isn’t gone and that he is plotting something wth the absorption shockwaves.

Considering how hesitant tht instiller was and how scared he was, I don’t think it shows what we think it is. He didn’t seem super loyal to agrona, more scared for his life and of the content of the crystal. If agrona was truly gone and he knew it, there’s no point in running from the loyalists since Seris’s army/forces would be a much larger threat wth Arthur as a possible enemy. I feel like it showed some type of evidence that agrona isn’t gone and these waves are a backup plan to resurrect his current body or to form a new one using some twisted djinn stuff and phoenix powers. We know agrona experimented on a phoenix and then he decided that she no longer had any purpose so he just kept her as food for the legacy.

I’m kinda curious how the shockwave works. It seems caera is basically completely unaffected and she was cured of Agronas influence during the last battle whereas nobody else was and they are getting drained. I’m wondering if it’s some type of backup plan agrona created using the pop of alacrya as fuel to regain his power if he ever loses it and he uses the adornments as amplifiers, the most powerful the adornment, the greater the amount of mana is sent. But I guess if this is true, then agrona is crazy op, an entire continent is not even enough to repower him, he needs to drain them multiple times just to get his power back and Thts wth scythes, retainers and any wraiths still around (I doubt they all died, agrona was probably holding some back for a final battle against kez).

I guessed with the update with Tess last time we might take a chapter to check in with Alacrya, but I admit I expected Caera over Alaric. But given the content it does make sense. I do enjoy these given how much weaker Alaric is by comparison so he has to go about things differently. Bribing, investigating what's around and then tracking. Glad we got that check in with Seris and Cylrit even if they aren't doing great. Also clarification on the area affected and who was and wasn't. Non-mages are safe entirely it seems and whatever this is appears to focus on taking from the strongest first which seems to prove deadly for those who hadn't recovered from the previous shockwave. I admit being a bit concerned about those of Arthur's students in the area. Not all of them were super powerful but they all had fairly good runes so I could see the after effects being bad potentially. Curious how well Caera is doing given everything. She wasn't affected by the shockwave all that much but then I didn't think Seris had been either and we saw how she was. That another vacuum wave triggered doesn't bode well. Alaric was on the coast of Truacia so a ways from Central Dominion where the first wave occurred. Hopefully that means that no one there was caught in it since already weakened I could see it being a killer. Though it also may indicate that these waves will target every section of Alacrya to draw mana for whatever purpose it's aimed towards. I can't tell if it was the stress and vacuum wave that did that instiller in or something else. He was having trouble talking but I almost wonder if it was one of those curses taking effect. Something seemed like it was going on there. Also wondering if this viewing crystal will actually show Agrona being taken away and whether that winds up sticking. Would be bad if they show that off and then he pops up in some new form.

Duncan Rodgers

Well so far we have been lead to believe that it has the recording of the moment Arthur defeated Agrona in other words It has the moment were Arthur used fate. And who knows how that will be preceived by nomal people who have no Idea how it works. We also have the possibility that the recording has been altered to demonise Arthur and provoke hostilities somehow. Considering that the rumor going around about the "aftershocks", if people relize that arthur caused the first shockwave then some people might decide to attack Arthur for that alone if they think killing him will put a stop to the effects of the "aftershock".

Soundd Wavess

Alaric is in hard mode lol everything this poor dude does is unbearable

Godspell_Marcutio

TBATE FRIDAY!!!!

Reddd

Kinda crazy I started reading this series beginning in high school and I am finishing college now

Duncan Rodgers

I don't think this recording is going to have the same effect they are hoping for.

Xiroth

I really wanna know what’s in that recording. The instiller wasn’t opposed at all to revealing the contents. He was saying no about Alaric’s assumptions about the contents

Keaton Brown

Thank you

FallenFlamingos25

Relax, itll be good regardless

DoubleNwah
