Dev Diary 117: From Zero To Hero
🕑 Added 2023-04-30 10:30:46 +0000 UTCHeya mutants, I am back with some sweet news! The game will have a stunning total of 135 unique endgame slides! Of course, not all of them will be shown at once but they are a testament to the incredible number of choices and consequences this game has. It will be fun, writing a walkthrough :)
And in other news, I am working on a workflow which could be used to animate ALL Talking Heads. In this example, you can see the reference photo which was used to create a static Talking Head. Then that was used to create an animated 3D model, which talks, blinks, has emotions, moves...
It needs more polish, but it is not bad for a 15 minute job.
The workflow is missing things a few things that should be doable from what I've seen. Then with some scripting, we could have images exported, converted and implemented into the game engine in about 30 minutes.
Can you believe it?!
Stay tuned for more on this topic soon,
-PJ

I'm glad you're still going strong, I'm probably overoptimistic on this subject but I truly believe the current AI revolution will be a huge game changer. The image generations, voice synthesizers, even computer generated writing for quests and lore. Hopefully no one connects it to the nukes and we will be able to reap the fruits of hyper increased productivity :) . Cheers muties.

Awesome news PJ! This is exactly the empowerment of Generative AI and related tools that modders and hardcore game fans have been dreaming of for many years. I am quite impressed with the results and cannot wait to see this implemented in real-time with the game engine. As the tools are being refined and as the users (such as yourself) learn these tools more deeply, the end results will just keep getting better and will significantly add to our experience of the mods and total conversions. Great time to be both an extremely passionate gamer and a passionate modder/creator. Thanks again for keeping us in the loop PJ, really loving what I am seeing and keep up the great work!
