Sean didn't know how Lockhart had gotten through this, but perhaps his weakness had something to do with dueling Ravenclaw here. Being hit repeatedly by Ravenclaw's Obliviate Charm caused Lockhart to forget most of his spellcasting methods. That possibility wasn't completely implausible.
Of course, compared to Lockhart, Sean's enhancement process was much bloodier. He remained constantly between being dismembered alive and about to be dismembered alive. Sean felt that even his own Head of House, the inventor of this curse, might not wield it as ferociously as Ravenclaw did.
With a single wave of her wand, Sean would be chopped into mincemeat. This curse had gone far beyond the original Sectumsempra. The precision and power were absolutely terrifying.

Time passed. Who knew how long? When Sean raised his wand again, he discovered that Ravenclaw had actually put down her wand. Holding a book, she slowly sat on the blue sofa that had been restored countless times.
