With a shimmer of space, Aiden appeared in the Ministry of Magic’s eighth underground level. The entire floor had been cleared, leaving only a man in a white-gold robe standing in the empty room, waiting for him.
“Oliver?” Aiden’s eyes widened.
“Good afternoon, friend,” Oliver bowed. “Unfortunately, everything’s been moved out. No afternoon tea for you.”
“What about the old man?” Aiden asked, referring to the previous Head.
“He stepped down, dumped everything on me, and ran off. Probably afraid of facing the fate of the Weasley family,” Oliver said, stepping closer to Aiden and studying him with a curious gaze, as if seeing his roommate for the first time.
“He’s from the Weasley family! So that’s it…” Aiden paused, then noticed Oliver’s probing look. “I was just thinking. What are you doing?”
“I’m seeing you for the first time. Before, I only read the old man’s reports. Now that I have control over the Stone of Silence, I can use it to observe the Deep Realm,” Oliver explained.
Aiden understood Oliver must have seen his mythical beast form, so he showed it off openly.
“Well, how do I look?” Aiden raised an eyebrow.
“Better than those fire dragons,” Oliver replied.
“Fine. Where’s Tom now?” Aiden changed the subject.
“Let me see… she’s on the fifth floor… now the fourth,” Oliver looked up.
“Let’s go. Don’t keep our Minister waiting,” Aiden said, reaching out. Oliver stepped forward, took his hand, and both were wrapped in grey mist, vanishing instantly.
On the first floor of the Ministry, the elevator arrived and stopped automatically at the Minister’s office. Two Auror guards at the door saw only darkness inside and drew their wands to cast Lumos.
But the darkness inside began to move, stretching out like tentacles, wrapping around the Aurors’ necks and dragging them into the void.
“Crack… crack…”
Chewing sounds came from the unknown dark, and a beautiful woman in a black evening gown stepped out. Her features were exquisite, her skin like snow, and her long black hair cascaded down her back. Her abdomen was swollen, as if she were about to give birth.
She politely knocked on the Minister’s office door.
“Come in,” Amelia said, setting down her papers.
The door opened, and a pair of blood-red snake eyes met Amelia’s gaze. She felt her body turn to stone.
“How can you be here?” As Minister, Amelia knew Voldemort’s condition.
The serpent’s breath licked her skin, and death loomed close.
“Of course… I’m here to purge you. The order the Ministry brings is too much of an eyesore. Dumbledore is dead, but Prewett still lives. He is younger and stronger. To defeat him, I must become stronger, mustn’t I?” Tom said, gently stroking her belly.
Faces appeared on her skin, screaming in agony before being dragged back inside.
“Naughty children, aren’t they?” Tom’s face glowed with maternal warmth, but Amelia felt no comfort.
Amelia raised her wand, firing a Reducto. But the spell disintegrated before reaching Tom, turning into pure magic.
Below, Death Eaters stormed in, casting Killing Curses at Ministry employees. Chaos, blood, and slaughter were the themes of the Ministry that night.
Act Two: The Fall of the Ministry had begun.
The conservatives lifted the Ministry’s Apparition restrictions, allowing more Death Eaters to invade directly. The Death Eaters shut down the alchemical matrix at the Ministry’s lowest level, disabling the Floo Network and all communication and alarm spells.
Then, they clashed with the Aurors on duty.
In the Minister’s office, Tom wiped her mouth and stepped out, glancing at Amelia’s wand before tossing it into the fireplace. Grey mist enveloped the office, and Aiden arrived with Oliver behind Tom.
“Aiden Prewett,” Tom confronted them.
From an outsider’s view, it might look like a dropout bully threatening a pregnant woman.
“Oh, my dear Tom, you’ve become fully female. Whose child is this? Malfoy? Lestrange? Carrow?” Aiden tried to provoke her, easily using his audience’s power.
“You don’t need to know. Just die quietly!” She raised her wand, and six green Killing Curses shot at Aiden and Oliver.
Oliver snapped his fingers, and a golden hexagonal crystal barrier appeared, blocking all the curses.
“What? You’re the current Head of the Department of Mysteries?” Tom looked at Oliver in surprise. She had planned to personally recruit the Department after establishing her order, but that plan was now ruined.
Tom glared at Oliver, then summoned a mass of black gel, forming a giant snake that lunged at them.
As Ministry employees were slaughtered, the force of order could no longer contain the chaos. Tom’s power grew stronger.
Aiden raised a finger, and instantly, a dream labyrinth enveloped the entire city of London. Endless grey mist poured from the sky, and angels seated in the heavens rained nightmares and curses upon the people below.
Many Death Eaters were wrapped in nightmares granted by the Discerner, twisting into monsters amid endless agony.
“Leave Britain, Tom. I want my family’s home to remain peaceful,” Aiden said, his face now covered in dragon scales, while Oliver stood behind him, wand ready.
Tom gently touched her belly, smiling at Aiden. “Do you think you’ve won, Prewett?”
She then used the Dark Mark to command Death Eaters across Europe.
To gather more dark wizards, Tom abandoned her pure-blood ideology. She proposed a new theory—magic is power—and recruited a large following across Europe.
With her command, Death Eaters began attacking European Ministries.
The French Ministry… fell. The German-Italian Ministry… fell. The Swedish, Norwegian, and Danish Ministries… fell one after another.
In an instant, Tom’s power surged. More black gel poured through the boundary between illusion and reality, strengthening her.
She revealed her mythical beast form—the Gorgon.
As the Gorgon grew, the Ministry’s floors collapsed. Finally, the giant Tom burst from the ground, bringing myth to life.
