MHA Incubus: Chapter 26
🕑 Added 2025-11-08 19:02:37 +0000 UTCI walked into the hospital room where my father was. He was already past his prime when he had a child with my mother. Now, he was on his last legs without me needing to do anything. The only thing keeping him alive was the machines he was connected to and the around-the-clock care, trying to eek out the last bit of life, even though he had plans in place to live beyond his current form… Too bad his idea would never work.
Sitting down, I sat in silence reading a paper until the nurse came in. The intabater in his mouth made it impossible for him to speak; he eyed both of us as I made small talk with her until she left. I waited another five minutes after she left to finally speak. “I knew about your plan to take my body ever since I was born.” The sleepy expression started to change as his eyes began to widen.
I was having a one-sided conversation with him right now as I sighed wistfully. “If I could, I would rather you never know your plan failed, but unfortunately, I have to speed up your death by just a bit, so I thought I’d let you know beforehand that everything you worked so hard for, all the plans you’ve made and deals you’ve done, won't get you my body.”
My father was a villain on the same level as All for One, perhaps even worse, because this wouldn’t be the first time he swapped bodies with his son to continue to live. That was actually his real power; contracts were just the quirk his son developed. All his plans leading up until his death, where he’d take over my body, were now going to work against him for several reasons.
The first reason was the wife he chose. He wanted a strong quirk for his new body, perhaps one that would grow to be just as powerful physically as financially. That was his first mistake. My mother's succubi quirk came from a long line of other females; the only reason I hadn’t met any of my aunts since I was born was their extreme hatred for the male version of them.
Well… If we were from a more barbaric tribe, they’d have tried to kill me, and right now I’d be running around trying to defeat them and claim them sexually, binding their own strength to my own, but we were in a more civilized time. My maternal family had just as much, if not more, pull than my father’s did. The difference was in what they could accomplish.
My father was rich, even richer now that I was helping and doing more deals that gave better results. My mother’s family had political power; more than one of my aunts had a powerful man wrapped around their finger, and they worked similarly to a cabal, forcing changes that helped them while making sure laws that would hurt their quirk usage never passed.
Because he chose a wife with an extremely strong quirk, he wasn’t aware of everything the quirk really did. There was a contingency to the quirk; not only could they pass on knowledge when they gave birth, but they could also pass on memories when they died. I was born knowing my father's plan, because he told my mother, because, for the time she was pregnant, he was under her spell.
The only reason he made it out is that succubi died when they created an incubi, and the contract she signed off-handedly, thinking she could get my father to change it after the fact, spoke of having a male heir. She couldn’t, and after she found out that the contract would go through regardless of her wishes, she began preparing.
Another power the succubi quirk had was that they could somewhat alter what it was capable of. Normally, it just meant more attractive/stronger, but when it would be the difference between fucking over the man who caused her death, the choice wasn’t really a choice in the end. She made it so that my quirk would also provide immunity to my father's quirks.
It was sort of a waste in my opinion, but most of her effort was put into setting me up to be one of the powerful people on the planet after that. Succubi don’t strengthen their lovers, only themselves, and the same for incubi. My mother pushed all of the energy she had, knowing that her death would allow her to add as much as she physically could to what I’d become.
That’s why I could not only strengthen myself but also the women I made love to. I could have been powerful by myself, but now I could make an army of powerful women loyal to me. All his planning to betray Zen would now help me, one of which was his death. All for One didn’t know my father’s power, so many of his contracts would either dissolve or be advantageous to me(his assumed future body) if he died.
Because he thought he’d take over my body, all of his assets will be transferred to me upon his death, or into a trust that only I have access to in order to avoid inheritance tax. Even his business would end up in my hands once he died. But the main reason I needed him dead was all the contracts he had that made people use their quirks for my benefit.
I knew that he planned to steal some of Zen Shigaraki’s quirks, using his own death as the catalyst. I had spies in his group and knew most of his plans. He had only seen me as a dumb brat, and that was exactly the persona I wanted him to see. If I could have waited for him to die naturally, I would have, but he needed to die right now to give me the best chance to thwart All for One’s plans.
I hadn’t even viewed my father as a rival; my end goal was always defeating the main big bad of Japan. I fluffed up a pillow from his side as I sighed again. “I’d rather just let you pass on thinking you’d have won, but then died never knowing what happened. Unfortunately, you need to die before Zen finds out his bases were attacked, his protege was killed, and I am working against him while he’s still being detained.”
I move to smother him with the pillow before smiling and saying. “You didn’t think I was serious, right? What a pedestrian and easily trackable way to get caught. I know that pulling out that intabater would cause a ton of problems, so I’m going with this little liquid here.” I flicked the needle before continuing. “Potassium chloride will make it look like you died from heart failure.”
He tried to fight me, but his weak hands couldn’t do anything against my strengthened skin, making sure he didn’t get any of my DNA under his fingernails. I injected him directly at the catheter already in his arm to make other injections easier to apply. His death wasn’t as instantaneous as I thought it would be, as he gained a new burst of life as he started trying to rip the equipment from his body.
I yelled out to get a nurse. “Help, my father is going crazy. He’s trying to remove all his equipment from himself.” A team of nurses came in to try and keep him on his bed, making sure that the tube in his mouth was never removed. I kept eye contact as he slowly grew weaker and weaker until he finally passed. Then I felt it. His quirk tried to take over, but it couldn’t. My eyes widened as I felt myself grow stronger again. I gained the transfer quirk I never planned on using, my contract quirk was strengthened, but I also gained the knowledge my father had as well. Hundreds of years of information, and that wasn’t the only thing I received.
The contracts he had with Zen that would give him(me) additional quirks on his death were all random… I got two quirks that he needed to survive, another support quirk, and… One for All. I sat stunned, looking at my father's body as a nurse consoles me, but I’m just shocked by how lucky I am. My plans quickly rearrange as I think of whether I should hide this quirk or show it off. Whether I start taking the quirks I need, or wait for Zen to finally burn out and die before starting.
