SCC Chapter 07
🕑 Added 2024-10-16 19:23:30 +0000 UTCSum Wei of the Wong clan was a meek, kind-hearted individual who was often bullied by the other cultivators. He would hand over his cultivation resources obediently until about a year from now when he finally made a friend and when the gang attempted to steal his friend's resources he got upset. By then he was already a seventh-rank qi condensation cultivator which was on the higher scale but the bully was at ninth-level.
Wei’s clan’s technique to burn fat was a special one that allowed him to compete with someone far above his cultivation level for a short time. He could have easily killed the bully as he was fighting at the same level as an early foundation establishment cultivator but spared him from his kindness. That kindness was rewarded by the bully having his elder brother who was a real early foundation establishment cultivator show up and cripple him for it.
Fatty Wei left the sect but his clan was a high-ranking one with members as high as late core formation in their ranks and the leader of their clan couldn’t handle that level of disrespect having one of their own crippled. Their revenge was swift and brutal as they completely wiped that clan off the map. I hadn’t heard much after that but I knew Wei’s clan would eventually be wiped out before I became a core establishment cultivator.
Looking closer you could see the wealth on him as he had a storage ring on his manicured finger. I was having second thoughts about befriending him as it could backfire if I was seen through but he seemed nice enough. I would ask if he’d like to eat with me as it was safer to go to the cafeteria in a group. Just having him there to defend my honor if someone decided to attack me randomly would have him jumping to help me.
I gave him some calorie pills to help him put on some weight as head home and I prepared to get back to training my body. Body refinement was an often skipped step but I knew the fate of those who didn’t. Hundreds of years to look at every imperfection in your body and judge. Hundreds of years of wondering why your height capped at five foot six and you struggle to put on a pound of muscle all because you started to cultivate too early in your life.
I was doing weighted training and would do so for the next six or so months as I built up the money to afford the materials to make beautification pills. I was going all out with modifying my body. Bone strengthening, muscle enhancement, physic perfecting, body purifying, body cleansing, spiritual root nourishing ranks 1, 2, and 3, and about one thousand nutrient pills.
Perfecting my body now would give me the one thing my opponents had that I didn’t in my previous life. A handsome face. That sounds silly but you’re far more likely to end up at the top if you’re beautiful than not as you will get far more chances than someone with average looks. One of the reasons I trust Li Chunhua so much was because of her beauty. It blinds you to their imperfections.
So I got to training. Slowly but surely I trained and made pills to sell to start building wealth as I made the rank 3 spiritual root pills that were over a thousand spiritual stones to make. Thankfully the resources to make them haven’t been over-farmed to becoming extremely expensive and I wasn’t going to make that mistake this time around. One of the most created pills in my previous life was that to the point of overusing them making the pills price skyrocket to produce.
I wasn’t making the pill for anyone not under my banner this time. I gave my future cultivation partner the final pill and the better cultivation method and left her to her own devices for now. It wouldn’t be until I started cultivating in earnest that I would meet back up with her. The good thing was I wouldn’t need to wait three years to start cultivating.
The changes to my body were significant and pronounced. Even without cultivating, I could fight someone at rank four or lower with just the changes made to my body and I could tell by the time I finished by the end of the year that level would increase to rank five. That won't matter in the later stages of cultivation but it did give me a huge advantage in the earlier stages as people would overestimate my actual cultivation level.
With all my money I also enjoyed things I didn’t focus on in my previous life. I had never experienced expensive high-quality food before as I didn’t deem it necessary. That was a mistake. The best food I ate before was my mother's but that was moving down the list with every new fancy restaurant I visited. Each new delicacy reveals how short-sighted I was in my first life. It was possible to eat after you no longer needed to but it would make your body excrete so I stopped along with most cultivators who reached that level.
What else had I missed out on? I enjoyed sex in my previous life but it was only for bearing offspring or cementing relationships with other clans more than out of pleasure. I had learned many dual cultivation methods but didn’t have any suitable partners as high-level neutral cultivators were extremely rare so I’d have had to put abundant resources into them for me to gain any benefit.
That wasn’t going to be the case this time around as I planned to exclusively cultivate through dual cultivation. The entire process I devised could be very close to demonic to many but I didn’t care at this point. If I put my head down and cultivated like before I would rather just kill myself because I knew I’d have squandered this second chance at doing it right from the beginning.
It was officially a year since I joined the sect and I was looking at myself in the mirror. The changes to my body were staggering and I knew my thoughts on the subject were right. It would be easier for me to cultivate and retain qi inside my body. It wasn’t a qualitative level, maybe only 10% faster and 20% reduction to qi releasing from my body but at the later stages when you’d betray every single person you’d know for a 1% increase it would add up over time.
I was also packing a bigger member. Six inches wasn’t that small but adequate isn’t something you wanted to be known for in the penis size department. Two inches would make all the difference… But there were lengthening pills… Fuck it another inch wouldn’t hurt… Well, it wouldn’t hurt me at least. I was finally ready to begin cultivation and to do that I needed to test out my new cultivation method.
The biggest problem that no one ever found a solution to was you needed to actively meditate to cultivate. The method I wasn’t going to try meant I might be able to cultivate passively while walking around and functioning like a normal human. I couldn’t help but smile as I looked towards the future. I already had a much better foundation and if everything worked out like I wanted it to I could cultivate while dual cultivating which was thought to be impossible.
