IM/DC Chapter 162
🕑 Added 2024-07-21 02:30:58 +0000 UTCDoom’s Point of View
Doom makes Doom’s way to the meeting of lessers, in which Doom is to participate. Doom knew Doom could accomplish Doom’s plans by Doomself but it was always more cost-effective to have someone else do most of the work than kill them. Doom scans the people at the table, all far inferior to Doom. Doom listens to their inferior plans to use the mutants they have captured to take Wakanda and Doom has to control Doom’s laughter with Doom’s impossibly strong will.
Doom speaks. “DOOM WISHES TO ADD DOOM’S OPINION TO THE PLAN! THIS PLAN IS VERY STUPID AND LIKELY TO FAIL! WE SHOULD ABANDON THIS PLAN AND USE DOOM’S PLAN INSTEAD!” Behind Doom a woman of beauty finally shows herself. She speaks in a very low voice which makes everyone try to lean in to hear her. Even just her words are enough to make everyone want to agree automatically as she speaks.
“Now Victor. That isn’t something you should say to your new friends. Allow me to introduce myself. I am Cynthia von Doom and this is my son Victor.” Several of the men in the room's eyes light green for a moment as she begins to explain the changes she and Doom made to the plans.

Entering the airspace of Africa probably alerted Wakanda to our arrival. The gigantic flying ship was somewhat inconspicuous and would stand out compared to other flying vessels. Wakanda would be all up in our business and they might sniff out the ‘vibranium pollen’ or some dumb shit since I’m the one who stole it. Even though I haven’t worked with it since I made the suits that contained trace amounts I still had the feeling that just coming into contact with it they’d somehow know.
I was well over giving a fuck at this point though. Sure, they can say I stole it but how are they going to take it back? It would be like China declaring war on Zeus, it just didn’t make sense. Come and take my stolen vibranium from my cold dead hands if you can bitches. Well, besides that the view was great. I really enjoyed looking out of the window at the African tundra as we flew close enough to scare the shit out of the animals on the ground.
As we made our way deeper, heading toward eastern Africa, two Wakandan aircraft flew on either side of us. I let out a groan of disapproval. “This is a team-up with Wakanda. NOOOOOO!” I’d have rather it just been us but now we’re going to have to deal with the Wakandans as well. T’Challa was supposedly one of the smartest people on the planet unless you look up what he actually does.
Besides his awful portrayal in the movies where his enemies constantly outsmart him. He was portrayed in this universe closer to his movie counterpart which meant he was way dumber than the old comic book version of himself. It meant even with evidence that we’re here to help him and find the mutants he’ll argue and say that it is a Wakandan matter. Then they’ll attack and overwhelm him and his army and we’ll show up to help him win the war. It would only cost them thousands of their warrior's lives for him to realize he needed help in the first place.
As we land and we’re greeted by a big smiling T’Challa I couldn’t help but smile along with him. Yay! It looks like we get smart Black Panther, the writers for him must have changed. I had believed wholeheartedly that I was in the comic book universe at this point and the stories were being written as we went along. There were too many instances where I just wasn’t involved in a major event for it to not be based on writers writing different stories.
Smart T’Challa was an actual unit when it came to fighting with him being up there with Doctor Doom. As he greeted us I kept noticing his eyes drift towards me. “Hello X-men. What might be the purpose of your visit to Wakanda? Perhaps you’re here to see the beauty of our country? I can have a few guards show you around Wakanda if you’d like.”
Well shit, he must know who I am then. Behind him, Shuri was pressing buttons on a wrist pad as she kept looking up at everyone with no false smile hiding her true intentions. She was most likely looking us up until she got to me and then froze. It must have been a much larger amount of information than the rest as her eyebrows kept rising and rising.
She looked very similar to her movie counterpart but slightly older and more mature. I think she was sixteen in the second movie so it makes sense that she looks older because she is older. She was still fairly young but not the same generation as Damien and Jon, I’d put her age at nineteen or twenty. I see her visibly gulp as she makes eye contact with me and I just keep smiling as I wave at her.
T’Challa raises his hand blocking our eye contact as he speaks. “There will be none of that here. With knowledge of all your other conquests, we’ll have to make sure that my sister is not one of them.” I could only laugh. “Alright, unless she agrees to it of course.” He puts his smirk back on his face as he speaks. “I heard you slept with Storm… I had to break contact with her because she loved metahumans more than Wakanda but also because… Her and my bedroom discretions didn’t match.”
I began laughing at what he said as I imagine Storm chasing him around with a strapon. I can tell he thinks of whether or not Storm has pegged me for a moment before he drops it and continues. “Well, at the very least I should be a gracious host and show you around as your leader explains what she thinks is happening with the mutant prisons scattered across Africa.”
We’re led away as T’Challa and Kitty plus a few of his and her bodyguards break off. Shuri wasn’t sure where to go as she teetered on following them or leading us. She decided guiding us was more important as she showed us the automatic walkways that guided us to our next location. “As you can see. Wakanda is currently above most other cities in terms of scientific breakthrough.”
She pointed to her left. “The buildings are made with state-of-the-art materials, each building costing about four times the price of a skyscraper built in a different country at a quarter of the size but they are built to last. Even in a thousand years, these buildings will still be around unless they’re destroyed but the buildings are made out of stronger material and would take more than a few explosions to collapse.
I grabbed a hunk of the material from the walls of one of the buildings before breaking it down and scanning what it was made from with molecular reconstruction. It was a composite element made for several different layers with trace amounts of vibranium mixed with the concrete part of the building. It was not only more explosion-resistant but would last much longer than she suggested with it having almost no degradation from time.
It looked more beautiful on top of all that compared to other skyscrapers or buildings. As she glared at me for tearing off a small piece of the building she spoke into her wrist pad. “Please send someone up to fill a small missing chunk on building one o four near the guest landing zone.” I couldn’t help but smirk as I thought of maybe stealing a building to see how Shuri would react if she was that mad over a tiny chunk going missing.
