WARMAGEDDON feat. Johannes Persson
🕑 Added 2024-02-09 12:31:27 +0000 UTCSomewhere in the middle of production the similarities to our own world, and that definitely gave it a different nerve. Consider full scale nuclear warfare. That's the kind of destruction that Aatrox longs for. The aftermath is just dark and dead space.
HUGE thanks to Johannes Persson from Cult of Luna. Working with someone you've listened to in your youth is a very humbling experience. I hope you like the song!

Lyrics:
Verse 1
Golden soldier of the light, faded memories
Heavy sword and shield stained over centuries
In the void of eternity I’m keeping score
Isolation breeds the dream of a final war
Bridge 1
If I can’t be free
If I can’t be free
If I can’t be free
I will take everything down with me
Chorus 1
ARMAGEDDON
Bring ruin to pantheons
ARMAGEDDON
There won’t be another dawn
ARMAGEDDON
All life dead and gone
ARMAGEDDON
Memories to oblivion
Verse 2
What is the purpose of this power if I can’t be free?
I’m trapped in torment, bound to suffer endlessly
The shackles holding me a slave, I will make them bend
Grip a fleeting form, feeble means to an end
Bridge 2
If I can’t be free
If I can’t be free
If I can’t be free
I will take everything down with me
Chorus 2
ARMAGEDDON
I welcome death’s embrace
ARMAGEDDON
No mercy, hope erased
ARMAGEDDON
The end, my grace
ARMAGEDDON
dark and empty space
Chorus 3
ARMAGEDDON
Shattered world, endless night
ARMAGEDDON
Stronger vessels last the fight
ARMAGEDDON
Final war, a world to tear
ARMAGEDDON
Echoes of a God’s despair
