PICK YOUR POISON (Renata rap) with FrivolousShara
🕑 Added 2022-02-18 09:21:05 +0000 UTCPrepare to nod your heads.
It was such a treat to work with FrivolousShara again! Her writing and delivery is so clever and confident. Was an absolute treat to work with her vocals.
I did THE MOST with this production haha! There are so many little twists and turns in the instrumental and production and sound design elements, I'm really happy with how it came out :D
Official release on February 25th.
Lyrics by FrivolousShara:
You don't wanna shut me out
Better watch your mouth
I'm here to fulfill my legacy
Are you a friend or an enemy?
It doesn't matter
You'll be on my side eventually
I’m something like a Philanthropist
You need it?
I got it
I’m generous
And all that I ask is your hand in this
A matter of time ’til your choice is slim
Better to get in this Loyalty program
Sign this in your blood
No need to read the fine print
Your life is your reward
I know you want to pay me back for saving you and yours
And I’ll accept you on the front lines
Cleaning… doing.. chores?
A reminder of the things I’ve done
The “Top” wouldn’t give you a breather
So what did Renata do? Fill your glass/Glasc and give you ether
You won’t wanna shut me out
Don’t give me attitude
Better watch your mouth
SAY WHAT?
I am here to fulfill my legacy
Whose side are you on?
Are you a friend or enemy?
Pick your poison
You won’t wanna shut me out
Don’t give me attitude
Better watch your mouth
SAY WHAT?
You are looking kinda thirsty
Let me fill your cup
Glasc Industries is boomin’, baby
Now you’re one of us
Look at me and see a god at the sun gate
I want all that traffic going one way
If my name’s not attached it is unsafe
Like you if you cross me
Catch gun spray
I don’t send warnings
They’re threats
All of my bets
Oh, they lean on success
I play the game and I play it like chess
I am above wishing you all the best
I’m going Berserk
Head honcho
Putting in work
Big boss
Competition is hurt
Under the mask
is a hell of a smirk
Put em’ all in the dirt
I wear the pants in this relationship
If I say to “jump”
You gon’ make it flip
Like I flip this gold
Like I flip the script
Like I flip a-
Whoa, wait!
Gepetto
I’m the puppeteer
Jiminy, I’m in your ear
Crickets when I talk
‘Cause they know that I’m the one to fear
I ain’t even gotta touch the handle of the shovel
These minions handle the dirt
And they’ve got muzzles
Not even a metaphor
how you’re digging your own grave
Pink is the color of loyalty
Alchemy is not my strong suit
But it’s helping buy these strong suits
All chem trails lead back to Glasc
And pillars come loose
