SKETCH DUMP #???
🕑 Added 2023-09-14 15:52:41 +0000 UTCjust a few things ive been working on. drew out a portal 2 illo for the con but decided i wasn't going to finish it in time so im letting it be for a little bit, get some fresher ideas for it then come back. was going to just ink this one but im thinking of some paint? we'll see. i showed this one in a few states on my discord for some feedback and help.
More beta alyx drawing for fun between comms and overwatch 2 queues haha.. deeply indulgent and another excuse to realize some cybergoth vibes from the half life 2 that never was.
Fourth(4) image is a wip of the xen alyx commission from a while back. much has changed since then but im very happy with this new direction and can't wait to show you all and be fucking done with it!!! I will talk about it more when the time comes.
sg sketch of more of her gear i did at the con as well as the wraith sketch from the con commish.
and a small update with the monthly poll drawings:
thank you all for being so patient with me.. not that anyone has complained but i want to be transparent. much has happened the past few month with quitting my job, getting back on track, prepping for the con and, i am very much someone who acts out of feeling, especially in my art but also some of my decision making. its something ive struggled with ever since i got laid off from my first fulltime art job. I have proved i have discipline with my work, to get it done and do a good job, but my pile of tasks and responsibilities as a freelancer has increased a lot over these past 3 years and it can become overwhelming... i enjoying doing the monthly poll drawings for you guys, don't get me wrong. i do them for you guys, to give back for supporting me here, but my brain likes to override what i need to do, with something completely for myself as a reprieve from doing commissions or admin work, and doing the monthly drawings sometimes is sacrificed for that. i was working on the meryl drawing and i thought i could kill 2 birds with one stone; have the monthly drawing and make a nice print for conventions. i wasnt quite feeling good with what i had so i scrapped it. even something as simple as the monthly drawings, i end up putting waay too much thought into it, and end up forgetting honestly. i working on getting my act together, but, fuck man, i think i really just gave myself too many things to do and expectations that ive completely overwhelmed myself and the coping mechanism is doing things purely for myself. its wrong, and i'm really sorry, no matter how small the task, i think i owe this to you. im going to change my approach from here on out.

Donโt sweat it too much! Iโm like that too, whenever I obligate myself to draw something (commissions, requests, whatever) my brain immediately assigns it as work and I suddenly want to draw other things for fun insteadโฆ I know personally I just want to support your art how I can, itโs fine if you miss posting here and there! Freelancing is hard!
