Interesting, Sartre reads like a postmodernist to me though. Mulla Sadra's explanations delve into prior thought, as opposed to my understanding of the concept of "breaking new ground" found in modern and postmodern thought

It's interesting how, once the Islamic religious context is stripped away, Mulla Sadra sounds a little like a much later figure like Jean-Paul Sartre.
