Extended Writing Update

It was such a mad dash to get Flashpoint wrapped up in time to post the second mini-update lol. But I did it, yay! I estimate it's about halfway written at this point. Next month I'll finish it while working on other stuff for Leas, and the full beta will release (schedule coming this week).
I'm all caught up on beta feedback edits. There were a bunch of typos/pronoun errors found, some variable errors, and some plot-related items. I've got two things left in chapter two that I can't decide whether I want to change, but they're in the "nice to have" pile, so even if they don't get implemented it's not the end of the world. I keep going back and forth on one in particular that would add a choice in to break up some of the initial mission. I can see the appeal, but it's a massive amount of investment compared to what the player will actually see. I'd be writing five unique choices with four options each, and the player would only ever see one of the choices (and only select one option, obviously). It does add something extremely worthwhile to the gameplay but I don't know that it's enough to justify that much work. I'm also wary of burnout at the final hour, which is something that's been flirting with me a little too often for comfort lol. Time will tell, is where I've settled on the matter.
But anyway, it feels unbelievably good to have all the "must have" items done. More will no doubt roll in as more feedback comes, but I feel on top of things, which in turn makes me optimistic about meeting my goal of submitting to Hosted Games by the end of this month.
Gosh, can you imagine?
