Thought I'd make a quick one just because I've seen a few different comments recently about these two animes and why we haven't kept up, and I wanted to talk about DS earlier but any time I had the mind to make a post, it slipped my mind until the recent season.
Well, unfortunately the reason these two aren't back is due to spoilers. As to not spoil those who haven't seen them yet, I won't disclose the nature of WHAT I got spoiled on. To be a little vague though, I've been spoiled on the manga ending for Demon Slayer and unavoidably so for some content last season that I wasn't caught up on, and for MHA I've been spoiled on some big stuff in a season we still haven't watched which had really deflated me and left me pretty salty.
Where? How?
Well DS was spoiled last season by a few reactors I don't know putting everything in the title / thumbnails of their videos. Not their fault but subtlety wasn't on the cards so we love that, and then in a horrible twist of fate (lmao), I detest YouTube shorts because they're ass compared to say instagram imo, but because i watch reviews on the Chainsaw Man manga and some others that I'm reading, YouTube had decided to recommend me a short in the scroll feed which had the ending of Demon Slayer blasted across the screen and before I had time to move away, the damage was done lmao. This happened a few months ago.
For MHA, I'm still fairly fresh with this shit unfortunately and it's got me salty as (but we move), but I was spoiled on stuff relating to two characters who I really like, one even that we're watching in the current arc, which...naturally makes me pretty :---) about continuing right now haha. Reactions again the culprit during my Frieren viewing as I was uploading and also looking at fellow reactors' takes on Frieren after I'd done my own, but YouTube unfortunately recommended me the shit I don't want to see lmao.
So why aren't we watching?
Welp, I could pretend I don't know but I'm not about to do that at all because I literally just can not and I'm just kind of salty and need some time to like...remember that I can still look forward to stuff and appreciate things if that makes sense.
Demon Slayer was an anime I started off screen during COVID and LOVED / was really invested in with the Discord community, so hearing about the end of it when I didn't want to know kind of fkn sucks lmao, and for MHA, this was lowkey my super chill fun watch but I'm invested in and really enjoy the characters, so unwanted information also makes the current arc a bit more difficult for me to feel as immersed in currently. Idk, if you've been spoiled on stuff before and you care about that stuff, then you'll get it.
We WILL be getting back to them and spoilers are sometimes unavoidable so it is what it is and I don't hold anyone directly accountable, but it certainly made me want to just take a step back for a bit and come back when I feel like I'm ready.

Don't watch anime, manga or drama reactions on YouTube because you'll get fkn rekt I guess. Oh, and fk YouTube Shorts lmao

man, spoilers sucks 😭, but yeah i feel you, i got spoiled big time on animes like one piece and demon slayer. the reason why i also started reading demon slayer manga is bec i don't want to get spoiled any further 🤣.. but being a reactor is different and i understand it's hard to react on something you got spoiled at. Anyway, I still hope you can watch it on your free time someday! No need to post any reactions to it. They added really good anime-only scenes in demon slayer (at least in hashira training arc) and i feel like you're gonna enjoy it :)

That's understandable it can really take away form the experience when you know certain things that happen later on. I don't get why people can't be more ambiguous with their titles and thumbnails. Not everyone reads or is caught up with a majority of manga. Although I'm caught up on a lot of manga, there's still a few I'm not caught up on. To outright spoil manga stuff that hasn't even been animated yet is so shitty. I don't know how other patreons feel but I don't mind having to wait until you're ready to get back into watching them again, but I will look forward to it when you do 😁👍

We will be for sure man! Just wish I could tell you guys what it's about but something happens in the later part of S4 which we're watching right now and something else in S6 so I'm just over here like "WOW lmao" but yeah I'm not as annoyed anymore, just more waiting for things to feel right. In fact, letting you guys know even feels like a bit of a weight off because I was probably worried people would be disappointed too. Thanks for the understanding!!

Yeah man we will be moving for sure! Yeah we stopped juuuust at the beginning of Season 4. I've been feeling better about it lately but yeah just pissed me off so much at the time lmao. Yeah man it sucks ass. It's one thing when you've like knowingly been like "okay fuck it I wanna know what happens so I'll read ahead or watch ahead" or something but like the worst of ways is when it catches you off guard and you're like "maaaaaaaaaan wtf" haha. Appreciate the understanding bro

All of this to say, I'm being pretty selfish about my experience of things because I always want to enjoy things as much as I can, and while I could pull up and try forget about it, I don't want to be mad or feeling off when I'm reviewing something haha. It's hard for me to do, and bad to watch for you guys. I'm sure everyone understands that but just wanted to be as clear as I can haha

Sorry that happened for you dude all we can do is move! I think you stopped in season 4 of mha right? There's so much to look forward to beyond that so that's all we can do is look forward. I still hate that happen for you though that happened to me for attack on Titan and it was just the worst
