Hopefully fixed the issue with Grim being unable to reap after casting the Exitus spell.
Added more skill books to the Speed Skim interaction, such as Thanatology and Gemology, and added a cooldown that prevents spamming this interaction to max skills.
Souls from the Life & Death pack can now be consumed or used in the same way as life essences when you have the Necromancer perk. Life essences can now also be converted into souls and used for the Reaper career.
Added 3 new spells: Motive Manipulation, Clairvoyance, and Impletio (to increase satisfaction points)
Tweaked the Toxins power source to add a few more source objects (sulfur piles, ecto-puddles, and goo puddles), and added an extra buff when a sim with this source consumes toxic plants.

03/26/2024 - Fairies vs. Witches 2.0
It's finally here! The new and improved Fairies vs. Witches mod has a lot of brand new content, some reworked gameplay, and general improvements to the original elements. There's a lot to go over, so let's get straight to the point!
Magic Energy
Fairies and Witches now have a Magic Energy need instead of their old XP orbs. Their needs panel looks relatively the same, with a few differences:
Magic Energy will always balance out at 50% full, always decaying or rising to that level unless your sim is performing certain interactions, affected by certain magical conditions, or under the effects of a potion.
Fairy/Witch/Spellcaster hybrids are now more functional, as their Magic Energy need will be reformatted to look like a basegame need to accommodate having multiple occults. This is not 100% perfect, and does not support having more than these 3 occults at once. The game's needs panel doesn't adjust automatically and will become bugged if you stack occults like Jenga.
***The Magic Energy need will be the same orb-style need as before, UNLESS your sim is a hybrid! The need will only change to a blue bar if your sim is a Witch/Fairy/Spellcaster combo.***
Magic Energy will decrease when using magical abilities and increase when the sim rests or when they perform special interactions, drink certain potions, etc.
When Magic Energy gets low enough, spells will become more likely to fail and eventually, the sim will risk reaching "Magic Exhaustion" and temporarily or permanently lose them, especially if they've exhausted themselves more than once. Their powers can be regained with special methods, including using the Fairy Ring or Ritual Circle objects.
On the other hand, over-exerting Magic Energy and maxing it out too much and for too long can result in sims reaching "Magic Excession". This also has an effect on their powers, but may also trigger the following conditions:
"Volatile Magic" - Sim will have wild magic that tends to cause chaos around them and can be dangerous to be around.
"Siphoner" - Sim will not generate their own Magic Energy and must siphon it from sources like magical objects, other occults like Spellcasters, Fairies, Witches, etc. potentially destroying the object or their relationship with the target sim. Vampire-Witch/Fairy hybrids can convert their Vampire Energy into Magic Energy.
These consequences can be avoided if you pay attention to the Magic Energy need, but they can also be disabled using testingcheats.
Alignment
Fairies and Witches now also have an Alignment need. This need also defaults to 50, within the neutral range, and will shift one way or the other depending on how your sim behaves. If they use magic to harm others or cause chaos, they will become evil. If they use magic to help others and spread peace, they will become good. Simple as that!
Reaching maximum evil will cause sims to be immune to becoming good through spellcasting, they will be feared by other sims, and they will cast evil-aligned spells more successfully and increase their fun need while doing it.
Reaching maximum good will cause sims to be immune to turning evil though normal means, they will be more beloved by other sims, and will cast good-aligned spells more successfully while increasing their fun need.
Having the base game Good or Evil traits will affect the rate of gaining/losing Alignment and offer unique notifications.
If you have my Unicorns Mod, your sim will gain or lose alignment at a higher rate depending on if they're close to a good or evil unicorn and good/evil sims will gain special buffs that increase their Magic Energy from having a matching unicorn.
Good/Evil sims have a chance to pass their alignment onto their children, making them more inclined toward one or the other as adults. They can also cast a special blessing/curse on baby sims that affect them similarly.
This need can be hidden with testingcheats to simplify your motives panel, or it can be disabled completely by hiding it and locking Alignment in the neutral range.
Alchemy Skill
Fairies, Witches, Spellcasters, and Sea Witches (if you have my Expanded Mermaids mod) now have the ability to learn recipes for elixirs and gain Alchemy Skill using a couple cauldrons included with the mod. This is a 5-level skill and there are about 16 elixir recipes to learn, with various effects, and a set of new ingredients that can be procured from the frog spawner logs found throughout the worlds or from a Magic Merchant NPC that is spawned with a crystal item from the Build/Buy catalog.
New Spells
There are quite a few new spells to learn, bringing the total spells available in the mod to 50.
The way your sims learn spells has also been updated. Now, sims can learn new spells at any time, but they each have their own progress tracker that will show up on the "Learn Spell" interactions. Learning spells can be stopped and resumed as much as you want until your sim is finished.
Magic Research is a new pie menu on the Fairy Handbook and Guide to Witchcraft books. There are a few categories : Spells, Alchemy, and Power Sources. Spell research allows your sim to gain Magic Skill while potentially gaining progress toward learning new spells, Alchemy research allows your sim to gain Alchemy Skill while learning new recipes, and Power Source research has two options: General and Thorough research. General gives your sim bits of useful information, while Thorough Research gives access to in-depth information about all available power sources.
New Power Sources
There are 10 new power sources to choose from:
Chaos
Death
Fauna
Flora
Illusions
Light
Metal
Plasma
Psychic Energy
Toxins
Each one has its own unique benefits and effects. These can all be read about in your sim's respective Handbook/Guide.
Witch Covens
Witches can now form covens with each other. Covens get special benefits from practicing magic together, including buffs that increase the rate of Magic Skill and Witch Rank gains or reduce Magic Energy decay. Witches just need to have a high enough relationship, then they can ask to form a new coven or join an existing one.
Witch covens also have special interactions with the Ritual Circle, a new object exclusive to witches. Demons and Ghosts can be summoned from the ritual circle, assisted by crystals placed on the object or a high Medium skill from the Paranormal stuff pack, and covens can practice magic together to gain Magic Skill faster. Regardless of whether or not your sim is in a coven, witches can place crystals on the center of the circle and absorb their energy for unique effects, similar to the charging station from Crystal Creations.
New Abilities
There are a couple new abilities available:
Sprite Form - Exclusive to fairies, allows them to shrink down to miniature size to perform several interactions including dancing at any stereo, showering in sinks, playing with frogs in the log spawner object, flying from place to place, etc. Fairy Houses have also been updated with new animations to use this same effect, but sims don't need the Sprite Form ability for that.
Magic Reuptake - For both fairies and witches, allows sims to build up a hidden store of Magic Energy to release at a later time for a huge boost of magic power.
Abilities/Perks have also been generally improved. Instead of relying on XP, your sims will now gain "Ability Points" as they increase their magic skills and use their powers. Each point can be spent to gain 1 perk and each sim can gain a maximum of 6 perks in total.
Aspirations
There are 5 new aspirations included with the update, mostly related to Alignment. These aspirations are: Good Fairy, Good Witch, Wicked Witch, Dark Fairy, and Master Alchemist. I've never made aspirations before, so they may not be as detailed or satisfying as they could be, but I'm open to revising them in the future!
General Notes
The Fairy and Witch traits are now inheritable!
Fairies can use the Conjure Changeling interaction on babies to turn them into fairies. (Due to the nature of babies and their status as objects, I haven't been able to work out creating a new baby and placing the original with the active household, but this is something I'd like to change in the future.) Changeling children have special effects and will be able to confront the fairy that did the switch when they are adults.
Aside from all the new content, there have been improvements to several other aspects of the mod, including animations, bug fixes, gameplay effects, etc.
And CHEATS! There are LOADS of cheats across all aspects of the mod that should help with customization, debugging, storytelling, etc. if you enable testingcheats. Remember to try shift+clicking objects if you can't find a cheat directly on your sim!
And that's about it! As most of you know, this update took a VERY long time, so I hope it lives up to expectations and more importantly, that you all enjoy it! :) Thank you for your continued support!

The Fairy Ring!
- This object can be placed outside and fairies that are channeling fairy magic will be able to fly around it, building their new Flight skill! As the Flight skill increases, fairies will perform better in the fairy ring and be less likely to fail when flying from place to place. There are several interactions that will increase this skill.
- This item can also be placed in Sylvan Glade, where the glade fairies will autonomously use it.
- Three sims can use the object at one time, but keep in mind that the animations are not synced with each other, so sims will occasionally clip, especially if three are flying at once.
- Child fairies who are taught to fly will receive an immediate boost to the skill upon aging up.
- Nearby sims can watch fairies fly around the ring and increase their Fun need.
- There are more plans for this object in the future as the mod is developed, including some interactions for witches... ;)
Child Fairies and Witches!
- Children of Fairies and Witches can now do magic and spells once their powers have been "awakened" by their magical parent. Once a fairy/witch's offspring has reached the Child stage, they can perform a special interaction with them to manifest their powers. This will give the child the ability to practice magic, be trained by their parent, dabble in power sources, study from their books, etc.
- Fairy children can be taught to fly by their fairy parent. They can also enable/disable their vfx and their hover walk just like adult fairies. Child versions of the two sets of wings have been included as well.
- Child fairies/witches can learn spells by either being training by their parent or the Ethereal Guardian/Ancestral Witch, or by "Siphoning Magic" from a few power sources and attempting to cast spells.
- Fairy/Witch parents can also read their special books to their magical children, which will allow them to gain the "Childhood Magic" skill. This skill controls what spells can be learned at this age. When your sim ages up to a teen, they will automatically transform into a full Fairy/Witch and depending on what their Childhood Magic skill was when they aged up, they will have better magic skill gains in the future, as well as better chances of casting successful spells.
- There are many cheats, including ones to turn your human children into a fairy or a witch when right clicking on the fairy statue or the witch altar and to learn any of the spells available.
- More animations have been improved, small bugs have been fixed, and children have been incorporated into several existing interactions.
Hello all!
It's here! This is a mod I've been working on for over a year and I finally feel that it's good enough to release. Am I too picky about my work? Absolutely. Am I going to change? Absolutely not. There is SO MUCH MORE I want to do with this mod, so keep an eye out for updates and take a look at the bottom of this post to read the list of potential features that could be added in the future! This mod is heavily inspired by tv shows from my childhood such as W.I.T.C.H., Winx Club, Sailor Moon, etc. and contains over 100 custom animations, a few CAS items, some Buy Mode objects, custom sounds, and LOTS of gameplay, so let's go over everything!
Revamped Sylvan Glade
You may notice that there are some new friends inhabiting the hidden meadow called Sylvan Glade... Fairies! Now trips to this little land will be much less lonely, as fairies will be seen roaming around, casting spells and challenging each other to magic spar sessions! Most importantly, you will meet the Ethereal Guardian, one of the more experienced fairies of the glade who watches over everyone and makes sure no intruders threaten their peaceful lives. A quick chat with them may even point you in the direction of becoming one of these enchanting beings! Of course, you can find your way to this place through the magical tree in Willow Creek, however there may be a more convenient way through a quaint little sculpture...
The Giving Fairy
In buy mode, you can find a charming fairy sculpture set atop a pedestal with her hand outstretched. She is said to provide nearby plants with excess health and nourishment, while inspiring sims to utilize their green thumb! However, if one were to be generous and offer her a flower or perhaps a pretty crystal, she may open a door to another land...
Fairies
One of the two titular occult beings included in this mod is the fairy! Fairies are whimsical creatures who enjoy flying here and there and tend to leave a trail of glitter everywhere they go. However, in the normal world, it is important to blend in, so they have the ability to repress their magic and appear as any other human. Not only that, but many aspects of their fairy form are completely customizable! Want to ditch the glitter? It's gone. Are the wings too bulky and reduce aerodynamic efficiency? No problem! Fairies are diverse creatures and can look however you want. Just as they have unique features, they also have unique powers and abilities! Practicing their Fairy Magic will unlock various spells that can be learned from a special book... But more on that later. Onto the next occult!
Witches
Most people assume spellcasters are the âwitchesâ of The Sims 4, and those people are wrong! Until now, they've been hidden and forced to practice magic in secret, but now they're ready to come out of the broom closet! Witches are darker and grittier than the spellcasters of the Magic Realm, dabbling in powers that are deemed too dangerous and inhumane to be tolerated. With the guidance of their spiritual ancestors, these magic-wielders can ascend in rank and gain experience as they study Witchcraft and battle each other or even fairies and spellcasters. There is much to be learned, including the history of witchcraft and why they are so disliked by other magical beings...
The Witchcraft Altar
An important staple in the aspiring Supreme Witch's décor is the Witchcraft Altar, found in buy mode. This intriguing surface is carved from an unusual material and has several uses. Humans may find it relaxing to meditate before it and might even summon a surprise visitor... Witches, on the other hand, are able to use it to gain experience and hone their skill with their coven mates as well as cast special spells when Altar Configurations are in place. If certain objects are placed in just the right spot, magic will happen...
Power Sources
One of the defining features of fairies and witches alike is their ability to form intimate connections with various elements of the world. Once a witch or fairy has come into their magic, they can search for a source of power to draw upon, which will affect the way their magic manifests while casting spells or practicing. This will also influence the success rate, strength, outcome, and overall effect of certain spells and how easy or fast it is to learn them, as well as unlock interactions that are unavailable to other sims. Just start clicking on certain objects, or the sim under certain circumstances, to discover what sources you can choose!
The Books
Both fairies and witches have helpful guides to catalog their magical journeys! âThe Fairy Handbookâ and âThe Guide to Witchcraftâ are essential to keep track of your sim's progress and learn new spells. Both can be found in buy mode, however there are also some other ways to procure them...
Perks and Spells
What would fairies and witches be without a little magic?? Well, worry not, because there are plenty of spells to be learned. As long as your magic skill is developed enough, or you have the right power source, any spell can be learned from the Fairy Handbook or the Guide to Witchcraft. Just keep practicing your magic and building Experience and you'll be casting spells like a pro!
Alongside spells, perks can also be gained through increasing Fairy Form or Witch Rank! Perks are more tied to a fairy or witch's personality and lifestyle than spells and they affect things like the speed of gaining skills, transportation, or the way one lives their life... These abilities can be developed at the Giving Fairy Statue or the Witchcraft Altar if a sim's Experience is high enough!
CAS Items
Several CAS items are available, including many variations of wings in different styles, and are easily identifiable by a small icon in the upper righthand corner of the thumbnails. I admit that CAS item creation is not my strong suit, so there are some imperfections, but I wanted to include content that works well with the mod even if you don't use any other CC. IMPORTANT: The wings included have a transparent mesh that uses the hat texture space and WILL conflict with any items that do the same. The Nymph Dress and Fairy Skirt also use texture space that will conflict with certain other CAS items, so it's best to experiment and figure out what can be used together.
There is a special item called âWing Skinsâ that you may notice do not show up in CAS. This is because they are meant to be invisible while a fairy sim is in human form. If you're interested in knowing how to use them, there will be a small post about them on my tumblr.
Conflicts and Requirements
This mod overrides the venue_HiddenGlade and cauldron_Start_Potion tunings, as well as 12 interactions for binding and unbinding the familiars from Realm of Magic and will conflict with any mods that alter the same resources.
***It appears that there are conflicts with a few of Zerbu's mods, namely the Go To School mod and their mod that alters venues. Unfortunately, I don't know if there's any way to fix this conflict, but this is likely the cause of fairies not showing up in Sylvan Glade.
The Fairies vs. Witches mod requires only the Base Game and the Realm of Magic game pack to function. Some interactions require Seasons to be fully functional, but the mod will work perfectly fine without the pack.
*My other mods, Whitelighters and Expanded Mermaids, have also been updated with bug fixes and necessary changes that interact with this mod, so I HIGHLY recommend downloading those as well!

FAQ
Q - "Sims can't read their fairy or witch book/ Sims can't battle or spar/ the spellbook menu won't open/ The sprite doesn't move. How do I fix this?
A - These issues are all caused by not having the Realm of Magic pack. Without it, these things will NOT work. If you have the pack and these issues still occur, make sure you have script mods enabled and move the ts4script file directly into your main mods folder.
Q - "The fairy wings have a black box around them. How do I fix it?"
A - This is a graphical issue caused by using laptop mode. Disable it to remove the black box, or you can use the "fanciful wings", which are more compatible with laptop mode.
Q - "Why can't I travel to Sylvan Glade? I get an error message and the game sends me back to the main menu."
A - You need to update your game. The legacy version may also cause this problem to occur, which I cannot fix, unfortunately.
Q - "Why aren't the fairies showing up in Sylvan glade?"
A - This is probably a mod conflict, likely with one of Zerbu/Zero's venue mods.
Q - "Can I turn another occult (mermaid, spellcaster, vampire, etc.) into a fairy/witch?"
A - I have designed the mod to block other supernatural beings from becoming a fairy/witch because the special motives in their needs panel conflict. It is possible to create hybrids using cheats along with the Hybrid Stabilizer mod as long as both occults DO NOT USE THE ORB STYLE MOTIVE. This means Spellcasters should NOT be turned into fairies or witches at all.
Q - "You should change the mod to do *insert request*." "I don't like *insert feature*." "Why don't you change *insert feature*." "You should add *insert tv show/movie ability*."
A - I'm always open to suggestions and ideas, and I actually really enjoy reading what people want from the mod. However, a lot of this mod was designed in a way that works the best way possible with the game mechanics or because it was a purposeful aesthetic choice. I would prefer not to receive demands or specific requests to change the mod to fit a certain desire for one player. This is not directed at anyone specifically, just an overall request for the future. :)

Hi! I really love this mod, thank you so much! I'd love to combine it with LittleMissSams "Live in Business"-mod, so I could sell the potions I'm brewing in my own Magic Shop. LittleMissSam said, that it's possible, depeing on the tag you gave the objects. If they're added the Func_HerbalismPotion or Func_Cauldron_Potion it should work. I couldn't find it in the files, but that doesn't mean anyting. Is this function added? If not, would you please consider adding it? thank you so much!

Yeah, I didnât consider how cheat-y that part of the spell would be. In the next update, Iâll add a cooldown time so you can only do it 5 times every 6 hours or so while the spell is active.

There shouldnât be a body regardless, so thatâs not out of the ordinary, and it should work on playable and NPC sims. Iâll take another look at it and see if something is amiss.

I do, and after you asked I re-deleted and re-installed it just to be sure, and tried an Exitus again. Grim is just standing by the flowerbed and there's no body. Perhaps it's because the victim is part of the household?

My death witch is also a career reaper so I was hoping he'd be able to collect the soul of the person he Exitus-ed but alas, not even Grim can.

I have the same problem. Every time I've used Exitus, there's no corpse and Grim just stands there menacingly, effectively locking my game because you can't do anything with the UI during a death.

Dude... that superskim is ridiculous. Right up there with Copypasto for being one of most overpowered things in the game, modded or otherwise. You can literally just buy all the level 1 skill books and get every skill to max by spamming superskim in under 15 real life minutes.

I dont know if this is a bug or if I am doing something wrong. My witch has both her skill and rank maxed, but when I go to add a perk, most of them are still greyed out. In earlier versions I could learn the teleport perk at this level, but I still cant learn this, or studious, and a bunch of others

Bug: If you only have this mod installed, the Herba Incrementum spell, when you cast it, shows up as a blank, aka, the title of the spell doesn't show.

i think there may be a bug involving the exitus spell. every time i use it the body of the sim i use it on just disappears and grim isnt able to reap them so the game just gets stuck because i cant save while a sim is dying. not sure if this is an actual bug or a possible mod conflict? just thought i'd bring it to your attention and wondering if there's anything i can do to fix this since you must cast the spell for the aspiration in game. anyway, love your mod! thanks!

Hello, I'm unsure where else to post this. But I noticed a bug in CAS where the damn winged llama "bug picture" icon shows up in the "cause of death" section. I also just updated to the most recent version today & I have the mod properly installed, so I don't know why that icon still pops up.

I just got the mod and installed it correctly, but the names of the spells aren't appearing in the spell book nor when I'm trying to cast them. None of names are appearing for anything, including the source of power, spells and anything that has to due with your mod. but I can still learn the spells tho.

A few bugs I am noticing for me, The power sources buff keeps showing up even when not near power sources tested with multiple power sources and for spellcaster they are not gaining xp with the mod installed. everything was tested with just this mod, new save and cleared local files.

There seems to be a bug with Witch Perks not showing up at all in the HUD to actually choose them since the latest update to the mod. Also, going to the Netherworld and then returning doesn't return your corporeal form. I miss my flesh. :(

L'autre bug est pour l'aspiration qui s'affiche uniquement quand je crĂ©Ă© un sims. L'aspiration n'est plus accessible aprĂšs. Si je crĂ©Ă© un sims et que je choisie l'aspiration, je suis obligĂ©e de tricher pour la terminer car elle n'est plus accessible aprĂšs. IdĂ©e pour un prochain mod : les dragons ! Je les adore comme beaucoup de monde je pense,il y a eu un pack pour les sims 3 dragon valley auquel je n'ai pas jouer mais peut-ĂȘtre pourrais-tu t'en inspirer si tu le connais ? Never mind, I think I discovered the problem! I had done a Polite Introduction instead of the "Greet Fairy" option. I tested this out in a new save, and everything worked just fine! Love love love this mod already!

Hi! I just downloaded this mod, and I am unable to have my sim become a fairy. I got to Sylvan Glade, and there were fairies there, and I found the ethereal guardian, but no matter what I did, I couldn't find the option to ask him about being a fairy. I increased friendship to maximum, just to see if it helped, but no dice. I looked under all the social menus, including the fairy specific one, but found nothing. Any idea what might be causing that?

Hi, thank you so much for this mod it's absolutely amazing, but I did wanna bring something to attention that I'm unsure whether or not it's intended to be this way. If it is please disregard. Anyways, I've discovered that regardless of a sims alignment, whether or not they've received a blessing from a unicorn and a few other things that any baby born to a fairy sim will be a spawn of evil (3 babies in my playthrough). As I said I'm unsure whether or not this is intended but if it isn't I at least wanted to bring it to atttention (: Thank you again for the incredible mod!

When do you get perks? I'm not sure how to check if I have any, but I click on the fairy statue and they perk option is always greyed out. My sim has fairm form lvl 5 and fairy magic lvl 5. Do I need higher magic before I'll get one?

You can try deleting the old fairies or make them playable, which should cause more to spawn, but Iâll look into creating a fix for a future update. :)

If you place crystals in the slots around the ritual circle, do the ritual under the full moon, and increase your skills, these should help improve the chances of success.

The sparkle effect was changed to a different effect in the last update because the original sparkles caused really bad lag when the camera would get close to them.

i love this mode so much, one suggestion I would love to see in the future is a lot trait or something which can spawn witch npcs. my game never generates witch sims, so if i want my sim to join a coven I have to make witches to add to my game/use cheats. I understand part of the lore is that the witches were displaced, but I think this could add to the gameplay and could still fit the lore if its explained as something like a magical nexus or coven hangout. this would give the chance to have game generated coven mates, and for witches to gain ex with each other instead of always fighting fairies and spell casters. I would also similar for fairies, but fairies already have the glade so it wouldn't make as big of a difference

Very random question but is it at all possible you could add the ability to get the curse of the Night Wraith as a Witch? I'm running an Occult Tiny Town and using this mod to get a Witch, and getting the curse of the Night Wraith is one of my goals. Hey so might just be a glitch in my game, BUT the glade fairies and ethereal guardian fairy in sylvan glade all appear with the old wings and not the animated ones, which isn't a big deal, however, if you happen to move the ethereal guardian from sylvan glade into your household they seem to be stuck with those wings n matter how many times you change them they always switch back when the sim travels lots or you load into ur home lot with a different sim they appear with those old wings.... help?

Hey! I am loving this mod! I am trying to run a changeling story. How do I go about gaining the ability, permissions or whatever in order to 'conjure changeling'? I've cheated an evil fairy with maxed skills, all spells and potions. There is a newborn baby that I'm trying to use the interaction on but it doesn't exist in the wheel. Thank you for your help!

I kinda wonder whether the more in-depth integration with Animated Wings mod can happen in the future. For example, when you set a fairy to fly somewhere, the wings would automatically change speed and change back to normal when the interaction is over. Also it could be great to be able to control flying speed (from what I know there are a few ghost walk animations which are used for flight with different speeds, but my fairies always choose the slowest ones, even if there's a king of "emergency" that'd usually make a sim run). I managed to achieve the desired result by forcing a ghost max speed walk type, but going through the menus all the time isn't the best experience either. I'm thinking about trying to mod it myself to make this sequence a bit more automated, even though I've no idea how hard it may be :D Hopefully that's not going to violate any rules

I can tell you I ave ad a hybrid even before it was said it was possible. my sim is currently a vampire, fairy, witch, werewolf, half alien, mermaid, whitelighter. The spellcaster is more of a lesser witch. So I only did the spellcaster to complete the aspiration then I got rid of the trait. Oh yeah, the only issue I have really had was with the fairy guide and witchraft guide combining.

I figured out what was wrong. The sim I was using was a vampire. When I used a sim that wasnât an occult, it worked. I just had them turn into a vampire after becoming a witch. No biggie!

I had that issue as well. I turned my fairy back into a normal sim and then made him a fairy again and it fixed the problem

So, fairies don't autonomously undress or change clothes on their own. I guess this was to facilitate a set costume, but it makes bathing and going to bed annoying as I have to manually change the clothing before the action.

Is anyone having issues with turning sims into witches? I click on the spiritual ancestor and greet her comes up twice. When I click on either of them, I do not get the option to ask her to become a witch. Just to compliment her or send her back to the netherworld.

I seem to have an issue with the Mascfairybottoms. They don't seem to work when I try to put them on my sims. I opened the package file in sims4studio out of curiosity and the mesh seems to be missing for all the swatches. Thanks again for such a great mod though! You do amazing work!

(I would like to know if anyone is having a similar problem) i haven't cheat the game other than becoming a witch cheat, but i have notice something odd 1: at level 1 alchemy, witch rank and magic: i have learn 4 brew from the start and now my witch is at level 2 witch rank and level 2 alchemy and level 3 in magic and haven't gain and new brew since than. 2: the shop ghost or the witch ghost that summon on your lot haven't been appearing ever since my sim becomes a witch and it has been 8 in-games days and still no ghost witch seller. 3: the ritual circle, i'm not 100% sure what it does and my sim the witch haven't form a coven yet but like all they can do is {absorb crystal and study scared geometry} my sim was somewhat stuck in study scared geometry where their task doesn't end even tho it's over. 4: after saving your game or load saving your game, i notice that {select perk points} you have are no longer there once you reopen your game or load your save. 5: i think this is all but i'm not sure why it's causing it, i even clear cache and delete game version and reinstall the mod to see if it'll fixes up but it remains the same. Edit: 6: I realized that when looking for ingredients in the logs, sometimes the sims auto show magic display have you cancel your âlooking for ingredientsâ? That the log disappear like you have collect the stuff but you didnât. Ok I just notice that the potion prodigy could be the one causing it? As itâs working really well just with âexperimentâ realm of magic cauldron, as this all happen when I add the potion prodigy ability. ( but I could be wrong) Iâm not sure adding new potions or learn new potions can be happen just by reading guide to witchcraft book similar to like explains mermaid mod where sea witches or mermaid can learn things from reading the magic book {my Witch is also purely evil}

It was possible before the uptdate. I didn't tried it yet, I only downloaded it today. But there is no reason those cheats wouldn't work anymore. To cheat the fairy state you need with testingcheats enabled to shift-click the Given Fairy. Same process for witch with the Altar.

I don't think this can be helped, since it's just the nature of Sim need bars, but using a "refill bars/make happy" fills the morality bar all the way up to paragon- Maybe "make happy" works too well, my little villains are dragged, kicking and screaming, to the light? It's a shame, this isn't the moral tug-of-war I was expecting...~

Thanks for updating Fairies vs Witches! The Alignment Aspirations are only available in CAS mod - is this intended? I tried to add them to my existing characters from before the update & also on new characters that have completed the steps to get fairy or witch trait - but they cannot select Alignment Aspirations outside of CAS ?

Hi Spinning, The decay seem to be mostly fixed but what happens is once you cast a spell it starts to fill but then it never stop making them always go into excession and it is especially noticeable in superspeed 3. i made sure they didnt have any buffs or anything that would help raise magic motive and a fresh save.

I noticed what you're saying with the repairing spell, I think it may be intentional but I'm not the creator so don't take my word for It loll. But the spell says it rewires and it sounds like an electronic repair spell, and I also noticed it only repairs/shows up for electronics. Maybe it wasn't intentional though since I remember it repairing everything before.

Each level of magic skill or rank/form gives a certain amount of progress toward an ability point if the levels are gained normally and 90% of successfully cast spells give a small amount as well. One sim is supposed to only receive a maximum of 6 ability points in total.

Hi! absolutely love this mod. The astral projection spell isn't working correctly for me. I cast it and the astral form appears but i cannot control it. it says its beyond my magical abilities but my witch is top rank. Also the repairing spell doesn't seem to show up on certain objects, like a sink and the cleansing spell doesn't clean all messes like dirty dishes... is that intentional?

Your witch sim should be able to just place a broom in their inventory and set it as their preferred broom. Then they should have a âfly hereâ option while outside. :)

I don't know if it's just me but this mod is better than the realm of magic pack ! The only reason I use spell casters is to fly and if the mod had witches could fly on a broom I wouldn't play with the spell casters!

I dont remember if you need just either of the WWs or you can just shift click them and add the trait of the being one of the glade fairies.

Hello! The mod is magnificent like everything you do. I'm going to tell you some mistakes that I have had, the displacement spell doesn't let me learn it, unless I use tricks. After learning 3 potions in the new cauldron, it won't let me learn any more... and I'm at the maximum as a witch rank and at 5 in alchemy. I have the witch rank at maximum and the magic skill at 10 and it doesn't give me skill points... For now that's all the bugs. Now I'm going to give you a list of spells that I would like to see in the future. May each source have some unique definitive spell. Some protection spell such as putting up shields or protecting the house so that no one can enter, blocking doors, etc. Being a child with inherited powers, he has some unique spell. Open portals to go to different lots, like in the Sims 3 open a portal in the closet. Spells for time, some spell to turn us into a cat or animal. Spell to manipulate water, freeze, etc. Spell to turn another sim into a witch, to remove powers from witches or fairies. Spell to conjure a ring of sun to protect vampires during the day.

Did your fairy achieve those levels normally? Or were they cheated to be higher? If levels are skipped over with cheats, this could prevent your sim from gaining the points.

than there might be a issue in my side than, my fairy is level 2 on her fairy form and level 5 on fairy magic and haven't earn a single ability points, could it possibly be a bug?

Ability points are gained by leveling up the fairy form, witch rank, fairy magic, and witchcraft skills. I'll be adding more instances of gaining points in the next update this afternoon to make this a bit easier.

This sounds like you have an outdated version of the mod. There was a big issue with the plasma source triggering exceptions, but this has been fixed.

Changeling parents will get a special buff if they witness their child using their powers and the child can confront the fairy that switched them once they're a teen or older.

If you purchase the witchcraft altar or the giving fairy statue, you can shift+click either one to get the cheats to turn the active sim into a fairy or a witch. :)

If the alignment motive isn't appearing for you, you can try hiding and unhiding it by enabling testingcheats and shift+clicking the sim, navigating to the Fairies vs. Witches cheat menu, and finding the option there. That should reset the motive and make it visible.

For infants and later stages to have wings, I recommend downloading my Animated Wings mod. There are wings included with this mod, but they don't move and they're only available for Child-Elder. :)

I believe the "Spawn of Evil" trait appears twice. Seems like one of them takes the place of the "Product of Virtue" (I think that's the name) trait. I have a couple fairies born with this trait but the icon is the praying hands with a halo. Same happens when you cheat the trait onto a sim, the name and description changes to show "Spawn of Evil."

Is it possible to allow witches the power to imbue power from your mods like sea witches? I noticed that witches themselves cant make other fairies or witches but sea witches can. Also sea witches have calming spells on werewolves like the temperance charm but witches don't. That is all, Love the mod!

Is there a cheat to just automatically imbue a sim with magic? like witch life state or sea witch life state cheat? because the ancestral witch wont spawn in my game even when I use the cheat to summon her, I'm not sure if its just my game is broken or if its a glitch in the mod. My sim also cant open the fairies vs witches cheat menu as a human so I cant debug/cheat anything until I can spawn the ancestral witch.

The Regeant of Restoration is more of a âhiddenâ type of configuration meant for sims who lose their magic via exhaustion. And the Ritual Circle can be used to absorb crystal energy if the crystal is placed directly in the center of the circle. Youâll know youâve placed it correctly if green flames appear in live mode. As of now, only raw crystals work this way.

I just started a new game, and tried again with a fresh sim. I learned the ensorcel spell first, then the astral projection spell. When I used the astral projection spell I had the same issue from before. Btw, thank you for all of your hard work! This mod is amazing!

the mod is truly great Spin really exceeds all expectations itâs really a breath of fresh to the game. I have done multiple test, fresh new saves without any mods installed and every witch magic energy will either constantly decay or rise from being half, making it so theyâre either always exhausted or have excession it never just stays in the middle when theyâre not doing anything magical

When you astral project, the ensorcelled relationship is automatically added to the astral projection, but your sim needs to know the Ensorcel spell to be able to take advantage of that. Does your sim know that spell?

I seem to be having an issue with the astral projection spell. When I click on my astral projection it says that it is beyond my sim's magical abilities to command it to do anything. My sim's fairy magic and fairy form skills are maxed out. I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or if it is this or another mod causing an issue.

The magic/fairy chat option is not being shown it only shows the wings option when I do shift left click. I don't see the fairy option at all with or without cheats. I was able to go to the world just fine and everyone else is a fairy but for some reason I can't turn myself into a fairy.

Quick question. i replaced the entire of the old files like removed and re added the new one. I noticed the NEW magic bar never shows for me i see the old ball for normal spell casters reguardless. siphoners dont consume any magic.

Absolutely am in love with the mod and the update is amazing. Iâm having trouble with the astral projection spell. My sims summoned the projection and it appeared but it says itâs beyond her magical abilities but sheâs maxed in witchcraft and rank. Thatâs strange. đ€ The only reason I can think of that would cause you not to have the new spells in your book is if you still have the old spellbook package.

The spirit/demon is meant to appear in the center of the circle, so having a crystal there might be blocking them from spawning. Try placing the crystals in the one of the six triangle spots instead. Iâll add a test/tooltip in the next update to make this clearer. :)

Good point! I went back just now, had Sims 4 repair its files, removed all mod files except the 3/17 version of fairies and witches, and still got the script call error only when trying to place the witch altar. Lunar altar and fairy book placed just fine. So strange!

Really like this mod. I am just starting to have a Sim learn to become a witch. Gives her next door neighbor spell caster a bit of grief. However, I have not been able to conger up the spell book. I have watched the walk though several times, etc. Either I am doing something wrong (very likely), or the general instability that the game suffers at the moment is causing a problem. For now, I will just get the book out of build/ buy, this is only a potential heads up for you. Not expecting a solution.

I had a similar issue where in game the witch altar I had placed before the 2/28 version disappeared, and when I go to buy another one, it says Script Call Error. Tried starting a new save and it does the same thing.

I think I know what the issue is. The patch caused this bug for any sims that had certain skill levels OR had learned certain recipes, so Iâm fairly certain this probably affected my custom recipe files used in my mods. It seems that they just released a fix, so it should be resolved now.

When I take the mod out everything works, I also tried it with this mod being the only one in my game. When I click on any sims nothing happens. Without the mod, the options come up again when I click sims.

This is a game bug that has been narrowed down to sims having a singing skill over level 5. It has nothing to do with this mod and will hopefully be fixed in a future game patch. A good temporary fix is to set any sim's singing skill below level 5. :)

So Mr. SpinningPlumbobs sir, I know you are super busy with real life stuff, but could you possibly make all elements have an "angry interaction" Like you did with the electricity, darkness, and fire elements? And can you incorporate deaths and devastating debuffs to all nearby sims? For the element of air, I think the sim should be able to summon tornados that knock nearby sims around, or summon a turbulent gust that continually knocks sims to the ground.

*If* you plan on doing the occasional update on this fabulous mod I would love to request a little nugget: Would you consider adding to the Fairy canon that fairy blood is especially irresistible to vampires? I love that bit of lore from the Sookie Stackhouse universe. It would be so nifty if vampires could smell a fairy on their lot, have the impulse to drain them, and struggle to "only take a sip". Drinking Fairy blood gives Vampires temporary ability to walk in the sun and it heals them/fills all their need bars, makes them drunk. I like when the Occult Sims have unique interactions, like werewolves and vampires being disgusted with each other, etc.

There have been some conflicts as of late. My game will not recognize the mod. I ended up going back to an older save and it worked but it occassionally just plain stops working and I am trying to sort out why. I took Gshade out and I think that's been the issue but i have to repair my game each time. I REALLY LOVE THIS MOD and hope we can get conflicts resolved. First, I want to say I absolutely love the work that you do. Your mods are so in depth and add so much gameplay. I have this mod and the Lycan mod and am waiting on the Expanded mermaids, but I may download the old version anyway! I was able to create such an expansive world filled with different occults and factions and councils and itâs just been wonderful. I wanted to tell you how much I appreciate your work first before I mention this glitch! Itâs a small glitch, but when a Fairy interacts with the Fairy book, when the interaction is over, they receive a routing error (footpath icon with the x) and then the book immediately spawns to the floor. Their hand is still closed as if they are holding the book. If they try to interact with the book it says they cannot place it in their inventory because âsim does not own this item,â but can otherwise complete the normal interactions, only they are no longer able to pick up the book and it remains on the ground but still opens as normal. The sim stands or sits and acts as if the proper animation is running. The only way I have found the remedy this is after each use of the book, I go into build mode, click the book and put it back down, which causes the interaction to stop and the sim is able to place it back into their inventory. If it happens off a home lot, I have to remove the object using cheats and respawn it. Itâs not a particularly game breaking glitch, but one I wanted to inform you of. Thank you again for all of your wonderful work.

Hi! That sounds awesome. :) The automatic wings need to be used in conjunction with the wing skins that are applied in CAS. Theyâre pretty easy to spot because the thumbnails are labeled. I went over it in my walkthrough video, hopefully itâs clear enough. If you do end up writing a walkthrough, please donât hesitate to ask about any gameplay stuff or any issues you run into. :)

Hi, love the mod! I was hoping to write a walkthrough for it since I loved covering your werewolves mod so much. <3 Only issue I'm having is fairy wings don't show up on my Sim but they do show up on NPC fairies just fine. I have auto wings on for her, she's max fairy form, I've removed all CC on her to eliminate possible CC conflicts, and I'm playing on ultra graphics settings. Is this a current bug with the mod or is there something specific I need to do to make her wings show up? Thanks! :)

Same here. I thought it was a piece of CC my Sim was wearing that was preventing them from showing up but I removed all her CC and even all her Maxis clothes and just had her in the default undies. Still no wings. Wings show up on NPC fairies but not on her. She's top fairy level so yeah. Not sure what to do about that, either.

I've downloaded this but my sim is completely unable to interact with any Fairies in Sylvan Glade. They just T-Pose and reset. Update: I had WW removed from my save and when I put it back, it works. Does it need WW to work, or can I try a vanilla save?

Regarding your VenueChanges incompatibility, I recommend reaching out to Basemental, LittleMsSam and Zerbu so they can incorporate your changes into their mod with an add-on or natively. I, for one, always use LittleMsSam's Venue mod because it supports all of them. Also, you may want to reach out to Nisa because they managed to crack the 'true occult' code and there was talk about them making a framework for other modders.

Hey! I really enjoy the Cryo-Depression etc and it would be very very cool to see some spells like that but the only cost it we have to steal life essence and use it to do the spell etc idk something like that.. Would love to see spells that are weather effectings, mass kill etc. Also maybe add rituals for multiple witches to do? Like 3 get in a circle and hold hands to effect the weather or summon a demon or something, could do so much with that!

Justin white 3:25 PM Hello first off I want to thank you for all your hard work I appreciate it so much i just I have a few quick questions for you first is it possible for you to create a mod for witches or add spells to the witches vs fairy mod that will allow witches to cast Barrier And/or protection spells on particular sims or a particular room with 3 different duration times that the casting sims can choose from starting from shortest time to longest time During which if the sim in the barrier tries to leave the area That Sim will be stopped by an invisible wall,, also if possible a telekinesis spell Which the casting sim can choose to be leathal or non leathal and or a locator spell to track sims but to do so you need the sims plasma or blood.? Further more could you add more commands to the ensorcel spell, and if a witch with high-level gets Enraged certain things will happen such ass flames will start to ignite on items around that sim until that sim calms down or the weather will change to thunderstorm until the sim calms ,,maby add sacrificial magic To cast certain powerful spell you have to sacrifice a familiar of yours or other sims thank you for taking the time to read my questions i look forward to hearing back from you even if only to verify if itâs possible or not i will continue to support no matter the cost thank you again

Anyone who has a pregnant sim and can't turn into a whick, as soon as they are not pregnant you can trade the sprite for powers. I have yet to try it with the other two but I'm sure spinningplumbobs can help those who still have trouble afterwards. Once again your mods are a way to make the game more dynamic and bring back some of the features from aims 3 that I love.

Hi. Love your mods but I have yet to try the fairies part of the mod but when it comes to turning my sims into a witch I have hit a snag. I have both this mod and the werewolf one and I have 2 sims in my household. The husband is a werewolf and I am trying to turn the wife into a witch. I have had her meet the ancestral witch and she has a sprite in her inventory but every time I click trade sprite for witch powers no interaction comes up. At first I though it was because I had some of zero's realm of magic mods but I deleted them and the problem remains. I was wondering if maybe it is because she is pregnant. After she has her baby I will try again but if this is not the problem help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi! Just wanted to let you know that the mod conflicts with Zerbu's Go To School mod appear to be fixed as of 7th March 2022, since I have both mods installed and fairies appear in the Glade just fine. However, Adult Sims do not have the option to ask the Ethereal Guardian about becoming a fairy -- I'm pretty sure it's related to their age since when I used cheats to age them down to a YA, the interaction appeared.

Hello! First of all, I am blown away by this mod. I stumbled upon it while creating a fairy for my medieval story that Iâm chronicling on tumblr. I managed to make one of my characters an actual fairy thanks to you! I did notice one odd thing while playing. If a fairy in Sylvan glades was holding anything, their wings looked like whatever they were holding (like some had books and suddenly all their wings looked like books or my Sim canât wear any other accessories otherwise the wings look like that accessory). I assume this isnât supposed to happen?

Hello I'm having a really hard time trying to get this to fully work and I just needed some assistance or advice. I've deleted and extracted so many times and when I go to play the game it only shows the fairy statue, Witch alter, Books but no offerings for inventory ...No sylvan Glade world. I make my sims read the books and view the statue so many times and nothing happens nor does the inventory show anything new. I really love this idea and even made a whole fairy home for this mod. I have "realms of magic" game pack not seasons but I seen that you said it should still work properly without it. I've tried everything even giving it it's on folder and still nothing. I'll even get the side message about "something is missing" on the statue yet nothing comes up to give the statue. Please if you know how to fix this please let me know. My game is also up to date and I only have two major mods such as "Wicked whims" and "MCC commands" but I don't think that's the issue since most people have them to cheat the game such as funds, household size etc. Love your work btw!

It sounds like you might be using the rose that is given for the âOffer Roseâ interaction. This one is just a decor item and wonât work on the statue, but the harvestable rose should be placeable on the statue.

Love love love it, and love your mods in general, I'm an occult addict so everything you do is so great. I've used the whitelighter mod soooooo much. If I had to be one of THOSE and had one request, I'd LOVE for it to be spellcaster form compatible. The way I play magic users is with heavily modded spell casters and Triplis' sorcerer mod, expanding them. I like magic to be accessible in multiple ways, and it just comes down to how the sim learns and is able to access that magic. You have such a cool way of learning these awesome new spells, it would be so wonderful for my already established witch sims to simply add that method to their ways of learning magic. I'm no modder, but maybe a version that is compatible with the Occult Hybridizer mod that doesn't use the orb? No demands of course just curious. Regardless, such a great mod and FINALLY having solid fairys is a godsend, thank you!!

Heyyy!!!!! This is AMAZING!!! I wanted to reach out to something that I am experiencing. The IVY wrap spell action causes my game to force close. I'm not sure if anyone has this same issue. It may be some of the other mods I have that interferes, but I wanted to advise in case there was any troubleshooting I can do.

The fairy form is very customizable. There are a few options that can be used to personalize how each fairy's wings are applied, whether or not they have vfx, if they use a certain outfit for their fairy form, etc. Using these can work amazingly with custom content. :)
