Blizzard Hide - Magic item (Premium Supplement)
🕑 Added 2023-11-20 09:39:56 +0000 UTCπ¨οΈπ‘οΈβοΈ The Blizzard Hide is an enigmatic creation, believed to have originated from a circle of nomadic shamans who roamed the ice-locked steppes of the far north. These shamans, known as the Frostweavers, were said to commune with the spirits of the land to protect their tribes from the relentless, devouring cold.
Legend has it that during the coldest winter on record, a Frostweaver chieftain led a ritual that called upon the winter itself to bless their armors. The ritual was successful, and the shamans found that they could walk through the most blistering blizzards as easily as one walks through a mild snowfall. π¨οΈπ‘οΈβοΈ

Blizzard Hide
Armor (hide), very rare (requires attunement)
This armor is fashioned from the hide of a beast that roams the most frigid of landscapes, its fur imbued with the essence of the coldest frost.
While wearing this armor, you gain a +1 bonus to AC and resistance to cold damage.
The armor has 4 charges. It regains 1d4 expended charges daily at dawn.
When you take damage, you can use your reaction and expend 1 charge to transmute all of that damage into cold damage. Additionally, if you accumulate a total of 20 cold damage from a single source, you can expend 1 charge to gain the ability to cast sleet storm (spell save DC 15) within the next minute. This casting requires no material component, spell slot, or concentration.
