Strapped in!

“I’m sure you’re used to riding around up in the front seat like a big girl, but things are different now! Look…”
In the back of the car was an oversized child’s car seat, with straps that would secure anyone tightly in place.
“Let’s just pop you in here, then I can just tighten these straps. We don’t want you wriggling around, do we? Then I’ve bought your blanket that we can tuck round you so you’re all nice and warm.”
The girl pouted her face and let out a huge sigh, she clearly wasn’t happy about being strapped into the back of the car.
“Uh oh! Someone’s got a frowny face, but don’t worry, I’ve brought along your favourite pacifier! Just don’t spit it out or mommy will be very upset with you…”
