Lost in the crowd
🕑 Added 2022-11-23 00:01:24 +0000 UTCUnbeknownst to you, the club you're at tonight is running a sonic test. You won't mind. None of you will.
* * *
You were floating on this wonderful swell of music. Just as everyone else in the club was. Listening as every note landed in your mind, rising, falling, letting go in the rhythms. Feeling the more subtle instruments, the backing vocals fill your mind. So easy to listen.
So easy to sway, to dance. To get lost with the crowd. Maybe you should get a drink – but no. Then you wouldn’t be able to focus on the music as well as you wanted to. So you stayed. Feeling the energies of those around you. Their ecstasy, their joy.
All of you were wrapped up in the music. The backing vocals which had gotten louder now. You couldn’t make out what they were saying. But it didn’t matter, all you had to do was dance, to find other people, feel their heat. Feeling your own heat. Your own arousal.
The music quickened. Tempo increasing. Your lust flared. Others were feeling it too. The vocals were chanting something you couldn’t understand, as you saw people stat to kiss, to explore one another. The music built, and built, and more people were losing themselves to one another.
You found another in the throng. Felt their body. Their lips. Then there was a third person. A fourth. All of you making one another feel good. And the music went on. Minds lost to a sea of lust. Bodies out of your control. A successful test. They’d need to run it again though.
