“And awake, sweetness.” Their snap was the thing that allowed thoughts to start trickling in. They looked down at you, a soft smile on their lips. “Do you need a drink?” You nodded. Yes. Water. You took the glass they offered, and let them support your hand as you took a gulp.
“Good. You did so well for me.” Their words brought a soft blush to your cheeks, but you smiled back at them. They opened their arms, and you leant forwards, allowing them to hold you. Their warmth was comfort. Being wrapped in their arms made you feel so safe.
After a few minutes, they handed you the water again, and offered you your phone. “Did you want to watch something? Or did you just want to cuddle?” You pondered, before putting the phone down, and taking a deep drink of water. Your mind was returning.
But you weren’t quite there yet. You just wanted to lie with them, in peace, for a few moments longer. You felt their hands gently brushing over your bare back, a gentle tickling sensation. It felt good. Soothing. As it always did. As it always would. Aftercare. You loved it.
