One thing I really am enjoying about Home, is that we are seeing a lot more influence from the dogs' gods and spirits. We saw some in Asmundr, but Home has much more diversity, in a sense, when it comes to what the gods can influence.

welp, things are going kinda bad for Keirr now, doesn't it o_o But I think Aira kept her sanity while in beast form too, maybe with some side-instincts kicking in, she understood Kargo and she now says she needs her strength back, referring to when she was stronger, she also remembered the attack by Roamer and co... Who knows, maybe Keirr and Aira will be the new Beauty and the Beast, reverse role and dogified? x)

She was afraid of being alone to the point she tried pushing Keirr to get attached to her earlier, so it is likely that once she thought he wasn't coming back she went back to taking drastic measures. Perhaps she didn't really want to be a beast again but didn't know what else to do to take care of herself. I can imagine the internal war causing tears.

I think so, she seemed sentient in the Kargo encounter. He even called her by name and offended her. My guess is in that form, she's got her memories, but just can't speak.
