It took a little coaxing to get you to finally speak. You'd been acting odd, refusing to be seen and frequently glancing at the ground. You mumbled something about being ugly, feeling insecure, or some other blasphemous nonsense regarding yourself. You quickly regretted opening up to the tribe, especially when they begun questioning whether someone dared to instil these ideas in your head. They would tear them to shreds.
"It's just what I think," you corrected them.
They needed a moment. One of the leaders placed a hand over your forehead, wondering if you're sick, perhaps feverish. Once they determined there was, in fact, nothing wrong with you, they were quick to begin their training. Or rather, disciplining some common sense back into you.
If you have trouble appreciating yourself, the nymphs will make sure to remind you why you're their chosen partner. Don't worry, everyone's judgement can be clouded at some point. It happens, even to you. What, you don't believe them? You'll see just how easy it is once your brain is turned to mush, numb from all the love they'll give you, again and again until you come to your senses.
Oh, it pains them greatly, being so strict with their precious little human - the whines, the tears, the babbled pleads that you can't possibly go at it again - but it has to be done. You have to learn your lesson. You'll be denying whatever you were insecure about once they deal with you properly.
