Update 11: Levels Of Detail
🕑 Added 2021-08-29 17:17:51 +0000 UTCThere's not to much to show this week as most of the time was used corralling all the assets. With most things added the game is now almost 4gb uncompressed. Making LODs for everything was a pain but should help with performance with the gardens becoming larger. What LODs do is when you get farther from objects, they switch to lower versions of themselves so everything farther away and not as important isn't in full resolution and taking up resources. I also wanted to include a small portion of the new garden levels layout to preview at least but wasn't able to get to it in time. For now I've made a super basic and small area so you can check out the garden at least and I've made it so you can break out of it and wander around the full area too. Even though I wasn't able to get out a preview of the gardens layout, I feel it's for the best as to nail it down without rushing it out.
Things I'm looking at for next month is finishing that garden layout and working on finishing off the kobold systems with them fully added so we can get to other gardens and things later!

LOD's is a great idea. Can you believe some big companies still don't use them? Good work. :]
