HelixFTW Going Forwards
🕑 Added 2024-10-06 19:11:02 +0000 UTCIt's insane it hasn't even been a week since HelixFTW's was released. Time's stuck in this crazy place between weeks feeling like no time at all but also incredibly long at the same time.
Since HelixFTW's release, Serk and I tried to take a short break but found that neither of us are really into that sort of thing. So, here's what to expect going forwards:
1) I'm still going back and forth on release schedules for new updates. I think what I would prefer to do is release a new update every two weeks or so. For example, releasing an update around the beginning of the month, and then one halfway through. I would like to get the next update out around the 15th. That being said, I don't want to send out an update if there isn't really anything to show for it; I suppose we'll just have to wait and see how quickly production goes.
1a) Future updates beyond the next, like on the original Helixftr, will likely be reserved for patrons only. More on this down the line.
2) Still working on character animations; you may have seen some for Wolfo over in the Patreon discord! None of these have been implemented just yet as I'm still working on completing the whole set, so the primary focus post-release has been stability, adding graphics options to help with performance on lower-end machines, and fixing the majority of reported bugs. This has all come along surprisingly well.
3) We've realized that trying to make the vore parts of the game any more interesting makes the game systems significantly more complicated, and we're trying to make sure that we can do some of the stuff featured in the original Helixftr without messing with the game feel too much.
4) A LOT of people have come forwards and offered to help! While I appreciate folks asking to help, this project is also pretty special to myself and, as of right now, I'm pretty happy with the rate at which it's going and we are not looking for external assistance.
I think that's about all I have to say at this time- expect the next patch out within the next two weeks!
