Monthlyish Report: September 12th???
🕑 Added 2022-09-12 17:59:37 +0000 UTCHow is it September?? How is it ALMOST HALFWAY THROUGH SEPTEMBER???
Honestly I've been holding off on making a monthly report for a while now, primarily because the draw to animate has been especially slow and low for a while now. Most of my work as of late has kind of been chasing flights of fancy in an effort to find some actual enjoyment and avoid the burnout that's been at my heels for what feels like ages now. It uh, hasn't really worked out too well. I feel like I'm kind of stuck, at the moment, in more ways than one, and it's pretty stifling.
But, I imagine you didn't click on this to hear me moan and groan, so what *have* I been working on for the past couple months since the Lugia release over on twitter dot com?
Well; the answer is, more or less, Lugia and the NSFW Barbftr version of Sandoval (who I'd like to get over into helixftr someday, if that ever happens). This is where the majority of my time has gone, lately.
For the Lugia, I've been working to add things and features to her standing gut, which before was just a basic belly loop that never really ended or did anything interesting. For Sandoval, I've actually added quite a lot, including an entire new swallow with a few belly phases and an alternate route for being shrunk that goes for OV rather than CV; it's not *quite* ready yet, but it's reminding me a lot of working on stuff in the old days, when animations were a lot more simple.
I know I said I wanted to work on Juniper but going through and giving her a redesign wasn't really gripping me and trying to sort out the mess I made of her before was headache inducing, so she's just kind of going to be on the side for a while.
I've also been going back and working on Elroy as well, although what's left to do on him (since he's basically code-complete) has been slow going as well because it's just not super interesting. He's like, 4 or 5 animations (plus sounds) away from being complete, I think?
I'm also trying to finish up a WELL overdue animation for a friend, and it's uh...
...it's going, I suppose. (This is not even all the layers, yeesh.)
As always, the best way to get a hold of me about animating or whatnot is through the Patreon Discord; if you have any questions, feel free to ask there. The Patreon site itself has become kind of a mess and I don't like ANY of the changes they've been making lately, so it's incredibly unreliable to try and get a hold of me here.
Sorry I've been quiet; at this point I'm almost afraid to say what it is I'm aiming to get done since it's so rare I follow through. I'm figuring things out. Again, thank all of you that continue to support me despite the aimlessness at times; this year's had a lot of stress fall upon my shoulders and it has not done my productivity well at all.
