Battery Boxes finished (at last) and interface arm.
🕑 Added 2017-10-11 04:39:49 +0000 UTC Test printed the fourth revision of the battery boxes. I’ve had to cut them to minimize warping. The curved areas combined with flats is a challenge but these seem to print fine. The only tweak I may make is on the ‘hooks’ which hold them onto the foot. I think they may be a little thick and need cutting to fit properly onto the shell when the drive mechanism is fitted. Also the interface arm is printed and tested so also ready for printing. They are both I the wip folder in the Patreon early bird share as I now need to write up the instructions. Happy printing.Mike,

Bonjour merci. Baddeley. Je suis impressionné par votre travail et vos créations. Je suis en train d'imprimer le dôme du T2 . Dans votre projet les trappes du dômes sont elles Mobiles. Je tente en français et si besoin je l'ecrirai en anglais. En tout cas bravo !!

This is the latest one. I’ve cut a few times to reduce warpage and this seems the most reliable.

The link I have has the battery boxes with the large squares on the side and not cut into 4 pieces, do I have the wrong area? Its in the wip folder right ?

The panels I printed with helper discs on each end. (20mm thin discs). There’s one in the STL folder in the public share. Add them to the slicer and move to each corner of the panel. The discs just cut off afterwards.

I am printing my panels now, make the longest side the one on the base plate and use a raft ( worked for me.) Many thanks on the battery boxes.

Panels I did print on the end. Made them thicker for this reason.
Awesome work man! I am nearing completion on my dome and it has been awesome to print! I’m a bit worried about the panels, wish I could print them standing! Haha anyone figured that out yet?

I managed to use the older 3 piece version boxes ( 2 ends and the body) they took awhile to print but came out great.

Had the same hook problem with the battery boxes. Got out the dremel and ground out space on the foot frame. Didn't want to weaken the battery hooks.
