🕑 Added 2017-10-01 20:18:05 +0000 UTC We’ve pretty much got a basic droid now. (Actually far from basic when you have moving holoprojectors, gripper arms, interface arms and utility arms. This means R2 has at least four arms! Never realised that before). Anyhow, finishing details. I have to complete the battery boxes ( the files work but I want to perfect them). Then I need to finish the electronic mounting, this was alway wip as I added more features but now it’s nearly there. Design the data panel with lights, plan to run them off the remaining adafruit servo connectors) sling with the data panel door mechanism. After all that I’ve got the 2-3-2 modules to do. So I guess that keeps me going for another 6 months. Also got some interesting domes to add. Any suggestions for domes you fancy don’t hesitate to suggest.Happy printing.

Do you ever consider doing a BB8? Your plans and everything are amazing and well documented that I’m in love! Would love the same type of documentation for the printing and drive system as you did for R2

Hi Travis, yes they are for my drive train. Would be modifiable I guess and external dimensions accurate. I will get round to doing s standard set but I’ve got loads of work At the moment.

Michael, have you done a periscope? Seems like I've seen a 3D printable periscope somewhere, but I can't remember where.
Hey Mike, would your footshells be appropriate to use with a 'traditional' drivetrain? I'm hoping to print footshells and greeblies for my half-built wood/aluminum droid but the model for the shells looks like it's custom built for your 3d-print drive system? Still very much an idiot at manipulating 3d objects, figured it'd be worth asking before I start printing :). Thanks for all of your work and sharing with the community!
