Yeah, the ez-b does look nice. I'm very familiar with the Arduino so I'll start with a Padawan 360 and modify it. Just ordered Sabertooth 32a, syren10, sparkfun and the Arduino + USB shield.
I'll use a combination of sabertooth for the legs, and an Ez-b ( ez-robot.com) for everything else! The ez-b is a powerful board that gives you control of hundreds of features like motors, servos, sensors, leds, camera, audio and more, for less than 100 US dollars.. and its easy to set up and remote control either from a computer, a joystick or even your smartphone! It definitely my choice...
