I read an extensive twitter thread theorizing that his “scars” are old skin grafts which he doesn’t replace because, you know, being a wanted criminal makes for difficulty finding medical treatment 🤷‍♀️

I occasionally will end up on “here’s how we put in/remove staples” surgical TikTok… so I do know how the gun removes them…

My working theory (I’ve done no staple research but lots of burn research lol) is that he cut the eschar bcos because it made it hard to move/it started to split naturally in some places/he thought it would help some other way and the staples are to hold it in place after his little diy surgery didn’t actually help all that much. Also, the burns aren’t the only thing he’s got that’s full thickness huh?
