Agreed. Maybe I should consider it an 'interlude' chapter?

I think it could have worked, just not at this moment. It has more of a “winding down” feel to it that would be better suited at the end or beginning of a part.

Thanks. The whole chapter was a bit of an experiment. I'm glad I wrote it, but I don't think it turned out as well as I'd have liked.

Gotta be honest, this one did not land for me, at all. I don't know if its because this seems like a weird chapter for a Damien only POV, or if I am just kinda over 70 year old frat boy Jessy.
