The accident was sudden and horrible. Just like that, Grace was gone. Connor grieved for his girlfriend, like anyone would-- they had been a happy couple for two years, and all their friends were under the impression they'd be a couple for the foreseeable future.
Months went by and gradually Connor's pain healed, but understandably, he wasn't back to the happy self he used to be. Some of his old charisma trickled back to him as the drinks went down, and he managed to get friendly with a woman sitting nearby. He hadn't intended to pick her up, but with every new drink she sat closer and closer, touching him on his hand, on his shoulder, laughing and smiling flirtatiously. In his inebriated state, he figured he deserved a casual lay. She agreed, and before long they were both on his bed.
She took him in her mouth, and he closed his eyes with a shiver. It had been a while since he had gotten head and this girl knew what she was doing, well enough that he could easily ignore all reminders of Grace in the room.
