Tohka took this opportunity to metaphorically pounce. "Yeah! Something's definitely wrong with this situation! And like... with your he—!" She didn't want to insult her Shido... "With Kotori's head!" There, better. Now she could feel good about her amazing comeback!
"That's not what I mean, Tohka..." There had to be a misunderstanding somewhere... "You... what do you think Kotori and I were doing?"

The truth is that Tohka's knowledge on acts like these had always been... weird. Tohka's anger seemingly stopped existing. "Okay! If you're sorry, then I forgive you, Shido!" She hated being mad at him anyways.
Just the thought of her having a fight with him, and not being able to reconcile made her almost cry. He was the man who took care of her, and who taught her all she knew. She wouldn't even have her name without him. Tohka Yatogami would not exist without Shido Itsuka.
She would just be Princess, enemy of humans.
Shido smile's was as weak as it could be. "G-great! Thanks Tohka!" Now it was time to roll the dice. "And about what Kotori and I were doing... I can't really tell you yet. Sorry." Or ever, really.
And now Tohka was back to being mad. "Huh? Why not!?" She squinted her eyes. "Now I really want to know!" Since she didn't know much, she was a curious girl. And it didn't help that they were dangling this right in front of her.
Shido felt like he was about to die. "Like I said, I can't tell you... It's a secret between Kotori and I... And now you have to keep this a secret between you, Kotori, and I. Got it?" Because if she didn't his life was over.
Kotori glared at him, and whispered. "What are you doing...?" Fury was clear in her voice.
Why was her big brother trying to keep this under wraps? There was no way he would just act like it never happened, right? She wouldn't be able to handle something so cruel.
He sent her an apologetic look. "I... I just need some time to think okay? Then we can have a private talk later." He would figure something out that made everyone happy. He had to.
Kotori hesitantly nodded. If nothing else, she trusted Shido with all her heart.
