🕑 Added 2024-03-17 05:35:36 +0000 UTCGoing back inside of the heart proves to be a challenge. Mostly because I'm really scared over embarrassing myself. Medusa is watching me however, so it's not like I can just turn back... and I don't want to turn back.
But all of those feelings go away once I see Sakura in the living room, just sitting on a sofa and looking confused. She's not naked anymore, in fact she's wearing some pretty expensive looking clothes. It wouldn't surprise me if Illya had sent Saber to collect some from her base.
Though it does surprise me that she has clothes big enough for Sakura. Maybe there are other people living in whatever place she was staying before... That doesn't really matter right now.
I dash... No I fly towards her, calling on Divine Dividing. And then while she's absolutely dumbfounded, I do the thing I've been meaning to do in a while.
I hug Sakura. "You're my twin, and I love you!" I won't hold back a single one of my feelings. Because I'm the wielder of many Longinus... and because Sakura is my twin, and I do love her.
Sakura blushes bright red. "W-what are you doing!?" Basically making her fly at this point. It can't be helped, I'm so overjoyed that I'm actually lifting her up a little.
I hear a chuckle coming from behind me, it's Albion. "Now that's better... if this keeps up perhaps that armor isn't too far off." He kills the mood... to a certain extent. Doesn't this guy know when to give someone privacy!?
Now I'm blushing too. "I... I said I love you because you're my sister... Yeah, you're the woman I love! You hear me!" I can't believe I'm saying something this embarrassing. "S-so if you ever need help, I'll come as fast as I can." I end the hug, and finally let her breathe.
And Sakura's brain seems to have overloaded. "B-but I... I..." I have no idea what's going on through her mind, I can't understand as well as Emiya-Senpai does... But I will change that as time goes on.
I pat her head, trying to become a legendary princess of ice. "No buts. Just always keep in mind that you're the woman I love." I hope she's getting the point...
Well, Medusa seems to be excited at least. "He's saying the truth, Sakura. Don't waste the words from your younger sibling, I'm sure they took a lot of courage to be said..." It goes without saying, but she understands because the girl on the Island was undoubtedly her.
"Well, you guys are certainly getting chummy over there..." Illya appears with a pout on her face, and she's followed by Shirou and Saber.
I scratch my cheek. "Yeah, but that's only natural, since she's my sister, the woman I love." I will keep screaming that to the world, no matter how embarrassing it is. I want that to be recognized.
This time I'll approach her, over and over again, without thinking if it is fair or not. I will do it because I want to get to know Sakura. That's a resolve that won't be breaken so easily, it's a resolve that will carry me forwards.
Shirou sputters... For some reason. "Daichi! I know you mean well, but..." He then shakes his head. "You know what? This is how things should have gone from the start, so keep screaming that she's your woman." I send him a thumbs up. My Senpai is wise.
Sakura covers her face. "S-Senpai...!" Well, she didn't say I should stop, so I won't! Actually even if she said that, I wouldn't anyways...
But now I have another issue to adress. "Hey Illya, I have something to say to you." I cannot let the hostility she has definitely developed grow. "I'm sorry for how I acted earlier... I don't want to make it sound like I'm making excuses, but I was shocked..." It was a horrible situation...
But she was shocked too, and she didn't go around trying to become a robot. She has nothing to do with Sakura of course, but she is a child. Surely all she saw ended up messing with her head.
Illya sighs. "Don't worry, I'm not mad." Really...? "I mean, you just slapped me away when I was trying to comfort you. Oh, and the only reason we beat up the Matou and rescued your sister was me, by the way." She's definitely angry!
I bow. "Sorry! Feel free to slap me or something!" She punches me right in the cheek. It doesn't hurt at all! I mean, I'm a superhuman being who can fight weakened Servants, and she's a little girl!
Illya steps back, there are tears in the corner of her red eyes. "Ugh, what are you made off!? Bricks!?" Just very hard human stuff, I guess. "Saber punch him for me!" Wow, I went straight to hard core!
Saber thankfully doesn't immediately remove my jaw. "N-no! I'll have to refuse that offer Illyasviel!" This might sound awful, but I'm glad Heracles isn't here anymore. Otherwise I would have died right here.
Illya glares at her. "Since when could you refuse any order I make, Servant." Um... Miss Saber why are you looking conflicted? You're not gonna actually go ahead and do it, are you?
Shirou, legendary hero that he already is, tries to interject. "Illya, he already apologized, so there's no need to..." Illya glare shifts towards him, he wisely shuts up so that he may not be the next victim.
Here comes the next hero however! The legendary big sis! "R-Rider, don't let Miss Illyasviel do anything crazy!"
Rider sighs. "Is protecting Daichi from Saber going to become routine?" Now that you say it, this is the second time this is happening. Well, I'd rather have you as a bodyguard than a enemy.
But... "Everybody this is fine... A-after all..." A blush appears on my face. "Minor wounds like that aren't anything for a dragon, right Albion!?" Ah, I can't believe I'm doing this. But I really want Illya to forgive me.
The dragon chuckles. "If you say so... masochist. This type of attitude would only get you points with Ddraig, it won't work on me." Oi!? So I have no support here!? I want to back out!
Saber smiles. "Well, even if the White Dragon..." She says it full of spite. "Disagrees, I respect your courage. It reminds of my precious knights." I keep getting compared to heroes recently, hopefully that's a good thing.
Here it comes! For a split second I feel like a truck is hitting my cheek and then... "Divide!" That truck becomes just the slightest bit smaller, and I feel just the slightest bit tougher... No, I feel a lot tougher.
Not that I have much time to think of what just happened as I fall to the ground. And this was definitely Saber holding back as well, considering she could probably punch my head out of my body.
Illya giggles. "That was awesome! Take that you jerk!" Oi. "Okay, we can become friends again." Yay...
Sakura however, gasps. "That was horrible...! Never let that happen again, Rider!" The Servant just nods. I feel like I have gotten a silent protector. I won't complain, but I need to get strong too.
Saber however, it's looking at her fist. "What was that...?" The feeling of my cheek never once again being the same? I'm lucky I didn't lose any teeth...
I begin getting up, with the help of the wings. Albion sounds quite pleased with himself. "It's disorienting, isn't child of the red? The first Divide is always the worst, as your body is unusual to losing strength."
I put a hand on my cheek. "Albion, don't be all mysterious, please explain what the hell you just did." It wasn't bad at least. I still feel better right now... and it's a feeling that encompasses everything.
"Very well, though I myself didn't do anything. You instinctively used Divide when hit. That's a good thing of course, it means you will learn quick..." He clears his throat... Does he even have a throat!? "And Divide is one of my abilities of course."
"As of right now you have three things you can do with the Longinus containing my soul. First is that I offer high-speed flight... In my original world this boon largely goes ignored, but it seems to be a rarer trait here." Yeah, it's a pretty insane advantage.
"The second thing I offer is the Juggernaut Drive. It will be up to you if you want to give up your life." I... I don't want to die of course, but having this ability does make me feel strangely calm. Worst case scenario I can now kamikaze Gilgamesh after all.
"And the third ability is Divide. It lets its user absorb... everything from the thing they're touching every ten seconds, at maximum output you can even halve someone's power. Arthur over here is far too strong however, so we only took a small amount of her power."
"Your body couldn't handle it all either, which is why your wings are glowing. It's filtering it out, and slowly injecting what it can on you... But have you noticed the most important thing about this ability, partner?" I...
Pause to think for a while, and then I realize it. "It absorbs stamina and magical energy too... So even though I used stamina for the ability, I actually ended up less tired..." That's insane. Somebody could become a unstoppable juggernaut with this... Right, Juggernaut Drive.
Albion laughs... it sounds chuuni. "It's amazing right? Way better than just doubling your power a bunch of times and then face planting like an idiot because your stamina ended!" Why do I feel like something personal is going on there...
"Anyways, with it you should be able to keep up with the drain from three Longinus... if you play your cards right. Four is too much however." As I train that limit should get bigger and bigger...
Specially since now I can theoretically ask Medusa to be my training partner together with Artoria. I think if Regulus was out he would agree that the best path to getting strong is throwing myself at legendary heroes.
Illya growls on my direction. "It's cool and all that your legendarily broken weapon is broken, but what about Saber!? Is she just weakened forever!?" I-I didn't even think about that!
Albion thankfully puts an end to our worries. "Don't worry, her strength will return as time goes by. And Daichi will lose that strength of course." That's both a shame, and very relieving.
I begin massaging my cheek. "Well, if everything is okay... we should probably discuss our moves for tomorrow." I look at my twin. "Sakura did everyone fill you in, or are you still confused?"
Her face is filled with determination. "I understand what's going on... And I promise to help! Erm... let Rider help!" Awesome, our Justice League has grown even bigger.
I nod. "I definitely appreciate that, I will be counting on you two from now on." At this point we have three Servants to content against Gilgamesh. "So, here are my ideas for tomorrow..."
"I will train during the day as usual, I hope you can help me with that, Medusa." The Rider Servant nods. "Everybody else should feel free to make their own preparations... And then during the night I have two objectives I want to accomplish."
"First of all, I want to hunt down Zouken and kill him... I know this has nothing to do with Gilgamesh, but I genuinely think he's dangerous." To nobody surprise, there are no objections.
"And second of all... I want to talk with Rin, and reconfirm our alliance. This could be done during the day too, I suppose." I have plenty of things to tell her, and I also... wanna see if she's okay.
Shirou nods. "That all sounds good... Though I also think we should do something extra... like today." I raise an eyebrow and send him a look of confusion. "We should call the police." Is my reliable Senpai for real?
Illya laughs. "Hah, that's a good one, but it's not time for jokes clown!" And then she realizes he is actually serious. "Wait... you actually want to call the police?" Shirou seriously nods.
And Illya immediately sends me a concerned look. "Did he get hit by a rock when Saber was fighting Rider? This is idiotic even for him..." I will admit, I don't see what angle he is aiming for here...
Sakura blushes. "I-I'm sure Senpai is about to say something really smart, so just let him!" Well, I want to agree with you, so sure...
Shirou clears his throat. "Thanks Sakura... Anyways, we need to inform the cops that Sakura's whole house blew up." Ah. Right. "We can blame it on a gas leak or whatever, but we can't stay silent about it."
"After this whole thing is over she needs to return to normality... and the police will find very strange if she goes missing, and then it's the only member of her family to return after weeks." That's...
Actually a pretty good point. "You're right, specially since we can control the narrative right now. It's as easy as saying she was staying here during the incident, while... Shinji and Zouken weren't."
"That said, we should leave this for tomorrow. Let's say Sakura was having a sleepover here, and only figured out during the morning. We need to completely destroy that basement before any cop gets close after all." We don't need the police thinking Zouken was Batman.
Sakura interjects. "W-well, Rider could do that... Would you mind it, Rider." The Servant clearly doesn't. "But... do you really need to go out Daichi? I mean, there are already two Servants here..."
"It can't be helped. There's Rin, Zouken and Gilgamesh to worry about, after all. So any extra hands will be useful. Specially since I can fly right now..." It just is what it is.
"Ah, I see... I guess talking with Tohsaka-Senpai and stuff is important..."

"Where the hell is he!?" I knock even louder. "I'm pretty sure he is supposed to live here!" I'm talking about my little brother of course, who suddenly decided he needs a magical golden axe.
Actually... he's not my little brother. I'm not here because I'm worried about him. I'm just investigating something as suspicious as a random boy suddenly being visited by some Divine Spirit who left the Reverse Side of the World.
Archer crosses his arms and leans against the wall. The bastard thinks he's so cool... "He's probably with the Einzberns... or the Emiya boy. I imagine the first one is more likely." I guess, they would have a bounded field and everything.
Still, I kick the door by principle. "What a mess!" A Tohsaka is always elegant... but I feel way too pissed to be elegant right now. Besides, only Archer is watching anyways, and he's a tool, a Servant, his opinions don't matter.
Archer chuckles. "Yeah, yeah, now stop trying to wake up the neighbors." I could just hypnotize them anyways, that's basically how I got inside of this building without permission. "This is all your fault for sleeping for long... or sleeping at all." That's true.
If I had controlled myself better during that meeting we could have talked right there, but I was just... way too exhausted. First I find out about some Master trying to destroy the school, then my house gets attacked...
Father would be rolling on his grave, so many things destroyed... so many things missing completely. Whoever attacked my house was some dirty thief with no concept of rules.
I kick Daichi's door again. I don't know why, I just felt like it.
And there's also the fact that my bro-, a normal person got attacked by the Matou's. Except he isn't normal at all, because he received legendary weapons... and this wasn't his first time almost dying.
Yeah, that was all way too much. "Ugh, let's just scout a bit and then go home." At this point Daichi, Emiya and the Einzbern are probably sleeping. I'm the one with the messed inner clock.
Then tomorrow he can come visit me! My location isn't exactly going to change. I don't plan on abandoning my life at school, and I certainly won't abandon my mansion, that's for sure.
Archer smiles. "Sounds goo-" And then he suddenly pulls me by the sleeve.
"Hey, what's the big deal!?" As soon as I say those words, I see it. I see the shadow that just consumed me, and I see the shadow that wants to consume.
There, standing on the other end of the corridor, lies death.
Archer has never been this serious, now that he has released me, he has two blades on his hands. But... but he's trembling, sweat is running across his brow. What kind of thing makes a Heroic Spirit feel fear?
There is only one answer. "Archer, is that a Servant?" I never met one besides the annoying bowman so... Yeah, I cannot convince myself. This thing is... I don't know what it is, but it's not a Servant.
He takes a deep breath. "That's no legend of humanity..." They are staring at each other, like two cowboys in a movie, both ready to draw their guns and fire. "Rin, I can't beat it." And then Archer decides to dash my hopes.
"What the hell do you mean you can't beat it? You haven't even started fighting yet..." I'm slowly lowering my hand to my skirt pockets. I'll use one of my few remaining gems if I need to.
He grimaces. "Does a human need to fight a tiger to know the difference in strength...? For now let's just run and hope that our little alliance extends beyond Gilgamesh." He wants to run!?
Well, to be honest, I want to run too, but... "Archer, what about the people who live here?" This is a massive apartment complex. We can't let a natural predator of Servants roam around.
"We hope that they don't die, that's all... It wouldn't surprise me if it had already carved a bloody mess in the lower floors however." That's... "Rin, I'll pick you up and run to the window at the end of the corridor."
"If that thing's shadow touches me I'll die. Be ready to keep moving if I disappear. A fall from such a high floor is better than being touched by that thing." He never asks me for permission.
He just picks me up like I'm luggage and starts running away. The shadow... barely passes by him. And as he reaches the windoe, and jumps I realize why it missed. It's because he wasn't the target, it's because he moved the target from it's place.
The natural predator of Heroic Spirits was aiming exclusively for me.
