Immediately a sigh escapes my mouth. "Lycaon." Does this mean I'm about to go on some weird dream trip again? Well, I suppose that's better than being dead.
Honestly now that my body isn't basically made out of adrenaline, I'm kind of rejecting my previous actions. Fighting a Servant is insanely stupid, specially since Illya and Rin were decently far away.
Still, considering I'm not dead, this must mean that they reached me in time. Rider probably threw a signal as soon as I collapsed... Hopefully they won't pick a fight against Lancer for mortally wounding me. He's an ally now, after all.
He chuckles. "Now, now, don't regret drawing blood. Winning felt good, didn't it?" Great, he can read my thoughts. Probably because this is a dream... or maybe because he is my Longinus. Probably both to be honest.
Did it? Yeah, I can't deny that. "Sure. So are you going to show me some weird dreams or not?" He didn't answer my first question after all. I'm obviously hoping he doesn't of course, since it would probably be some messed up stuff.
He shakes his head. "Not this time. With that said, I must admonish you. A chance for victory was missed today." I won though. "If you had pushed it just a bit farther, we could have eliminated Lancer." My body shivers.
And I roll my eyes. "I wanted to recruit the guy. Why the hell would I kill him?" That could totally have happened though, and I would have risked my life for absolutely nothing.
He snorts. "If you could kill him, there was no need for his help." Context definitely mattered in that fight... "I must say however, why are you so scared of death?" What kind of question is that...?
"You close your eyes to this world, everytime it comes up you hesitate." It's because I'm a normal person, obviously. "Oh. I understand now. You are scared of taking the final step aren't you? Like a virgin girl..." I...
Horrible comparisons aside, I can't completely deny what he says. Killing someone is... I understand that it's wrong, and I understand that is the type of activity I shouldn't make it a normality. I am a normal person.
He laughs. "That can't be it, no normal person enjoys combat as you do. Or do you think a normal person would have defeated Medusa by baiting her with his own neck? You're a virgin whore for blo-" A gigantic red paw befalls on him.
And now I suddenly see a massive red dragon yawning. "Quit your yappin'. And don't act like every person who enjoys a fight is a bloodthirsty maniac. I'm a pretty normal dude." W-what the hell!?
The dog beneath that massive weight. "You!? A normal person!? You are in even more denial than the boy over there!?" The paw presses again him tighter. "I hope you get fleas, overgrown lizard!" And immediately the paw is removed.
"Y-you have those!?" I'm pretty sure he doesn't.
Most importantly though... "H-hey, who the hell are you!?" And then I remember that he is a giant dragon, and that I'm a tiny little human. "I-I mean, please enlighten me with your name, sir." Actually, now that I think about it...
Isn't it obvious who he is? I know of a literal dragon who is inside of my soul, Albion. I thought his whole white dragon thing meant that he was actually white, but maybe he is called that for some other reason.
The dragon immediately glares at me. "You dare!" Oh shit. "What about me looks like that idiot to you!? We are totally different looking!" My face immediately goes pale.
"I..." Should I run? Should I fight? Should I just cry? My mind is filled with possibilities, and all of them end with my death. This thing is death incarnate, of that I'm sure. The aura he gives off makes Gilgamesh look like a child.
And then he... actually looks apologetic. "Oh right, new partner, my bad." He grins. "Though that reaction wasn't too bad for my heart! It's been sometime since someone trembled against the might of the-." He suddenly stops himself.
His eyes widen... Honestly he looks completely shocked right now. "W-wait... wait a second... Yo, partner, you never heard of any Boob Dragon before right? Or a Titties Dragon? Or a guy who was caught getting a paizuri from Rias Gremory in a event for children?" I... just shake my head in denial.
Immediate a sound reaches my ears, but that sound can't be real, so I ignore it. I have a feeling a bit of my sanity will go away if I ignore it, so... so... so... so... I have to ignore it!
Lycaon however, is already insane, so he doesn't have the same wisdom I do. "Y Ddraig Goch... Are you crying?" I cannot deny it anymore. The gigantic dragon who radiates even more power than the King of Heroes... is crying. Like a little baby.
The dragon tries to hide his face... and obviously fails. "I'm not!" He is. "A-actually I am indeed crying." He admitted to it!? "My therapist said I shouldn't feel ashamed of my emotions, that it doesn't make me any less manly or respectable. So yes, I am crying." Oi... That's... true, I guess.
Lycaon gasps. "Your therapist!?" Honestly I feel like you desperately need one, so please don't judge mister Y Ddraig Goch over here. Specially since this massive dragon can still kill us at any moment.
The dragon waves him off. "Yes, I do. Now be quiet." He looks me deep in the eyes. "Allow me to introduce myself... I am Y Ddraig Goch, the Red Dragon, the Welsh Dragon, rival to Albion." Oh.
And then a smile appears on his face. "But you can just call me Ddraig. Let's work together to make you invincible, partner." That's cool and all, but why are you here!? "Um... you must have not noticed..."
"At the end of your fight with the spearman, you awakened me. With it came my weapon, the Boosted Gear, also knows as the Gauntlet of the Red Dragon Emperor." A gauntlet huh? I don't really remember that, but I guess all my attention was being used to break that spear.
For a second I think about asking about the gauntlet's abilities, but then... I remember Albion's rant. Doubling my power until I faceplant on the ground huh? I can see how that would be useful. Though Divi-
Immediately Ddraig interjects. "Actually I have more abilities than that, they just haven't been unlocked yet. The Boosted Gear will eventually unlock Gift, allowing you to give away those Boosts to strengthen other things, such as people, or specific concepts. Oh, and I also have a Juggernaut Drive, but it's cooler, and red." His words come as fast as a machine gun.
That's cool...? Well, I got a bit confused with his rapid explanation, but that does sound pretty crazy. Could I strengthen other Longinus? Or perhaps I could make a Servant even stronger for a short moment.
Ddraig nods. "Indeed! I'm far mightier than Albion! So really you shouldn't even use him anymore. Now, I'm not saying he is weak, I actually have quite the respect for the guy, but the difference between us is as clear as day." This guy...
My eye twitches. "I'm not really in a situation where I can stop using a Longinus." He pouts. The massive dragon pouts. "Anyways Ddraig, why are you in my dreams?" Does this mean we are compatible?
Lycaon grins. "Apparently to cry and moan over his boy-." Ddraig flicks him with a claw. This obviously hurts a lot. "Bastard! I will eat your children...!" I have a feeling he won't be doing that.
The dragon smirks. "I don't have any brats running around for you... Probably." The worst part here is that we both know Lycaon would definitely eat those brats if they did indeed exist.
"Anyways, as for how I'm here... It is true that it's probably too early for me to show up in your dreams. I would say that this is happening due to some special compatibility, but... My previous user had the flesh of the Dragon of Dreams. Perhaps that made me more compatible with dreams themselves." I got none of that.
He sighs. "Don't worry about it. I haven't received any benefits from it besides more easily slipping into dreams. Well, I guess I could more easily protect you if someone tried invading yours, but such was always trivial anyways."
I scratch my cheek. "Well, that sounds pretty nice." Maybe my days of seeing weird dog dreams are now over. Though they didn't last for very long anyways.
Ddraig nods. "Indeed, but... let me make you aware that you could potentially call your other Longinus here... Or perhaps you could even go meet the spirits of the Juggernaut Drive." Oh?
"How do I do that?" Talking with Regulus and the others while I'm dreaming could be nice! Who knows, maybe I could even start training in here, even if my muscles obviously wouldn't change at all.
He smiles. "Simply call them, as if you were calling your Longinus to battle. Oh, and that Incubus Merlin did train King Arthur in his dreams, so it's technically possible." I wonder if it was like that for my Arthur too.
I take a deep breath, and do as he says. "Come Regulus..." I will call them all one by one. And then in the future this place will serve as a nice way to communicate with them all without my stamina ending in one second.
And as Ddraig said, the golden lion appears. "Wielder...?" He looks around, seeing Ddraig and Lycaon. "Ah, I see what's going on. I suppose this is a positive development..."
I wave at him. "Yo. Yeah, I can now call you guys to my dreams." Man, my head is probably the most messy thing in the universe, isn't it? I have so many legendary monsters here...
Regulus smiles. "Right... Still, why does Lycaon look hurt?" Because he has been getting bullied by Ddraig. I would feel bad for him, but he is an awful person, so it's whatever.
Lycaon growls. "Maybe if my master wasn't so slow, and had awakened his Balance Breaker, my true form would have been revealed. Y Ddraig Goch would not be able to so easily push me around in that case." Balance Breaker...?
Regulus waves me off. "Don't worry about it." He then glares at the dog. "It's far too early for him, not everyone is Tobio Ikuse. And even if he was, we have already seen what a mad warrior would accomplish against Gilgamesh."
Well, since apparently this Balance Breaker thing isn't important right now, I might as well call up another Longinus... how about... "Come Absolute Demise." I wonder how princess will show up.
Common sense says that she would appear as her doll self, but instead a cold wind begins surrounding me. It's not uncomfortable though, in a weird way it almost feels warm, I guess if I had to describe it would be...
"Princess are you hugging me?" There is no answer of course, but I can almost feel that wind communicating that she is, and so I... hug the wind back. Or at least I try to. "Thanks. This feels nice." Hah, I'm being hugged by a girl.
Ddraig snorts. "How nice, my partner gets hugged by a girl and doesn't immediately start getting the weirdest fantasies imaginable." Well, Absolute Demise is more like a little sister. Also, she's a wave of cold wind.
Regulus chuckles. "Has the Boob Dragon traumatized you, Y Ddraig Goch?" From what I've gathered, yes he has.
Ddraig's eye twitches. "Shut up. Last time I checked my last partner absolutely destroyed yours." So these two fought in the past? I guess that doesn't surprise me, or at least it shouldn't. I don't even know how many past wielders they had.
Regulus sighs. "So it's a case where only you can insult him huh? Well, one might say that's the sign of a true friendship." Wait, are they implying that Ddraig's last wielder was this Boob Dragon guy!?
Actually now that I think about it, all the Longinus seem to really care about their last partners, but they don't mention the ones that came before them that much.
Lycaon interjects. "That's because the last generation was made of monsters, surpassing them will be difficult. Well, my last master was a boring good guy, but there's no denying he was talent incarnate." If even Dog is complimenting him... That's some tough shoes to fill.
But thinking about that won't help me, so I close my eyes and summon... "Come, Telos Karma." I guess I could have summoned Albion too, but I'm genuinely curious about how the Longinus will manifest.
And what shows up is a... Wheel of Dharma? It's just kind of floating in the sky. So I awkwardly wave at him. "Yo. T-thanks for the help against Lancer." He tipped the scales so that my attack succeeded.
I don't know of course. Maybe he made so that the spear broke, or maybe he made it so that Lancer didn't counter me midair and kill me. Either way, I definitely would have failed without his help.
The Wheel however, doesn't seem to really care about it. I think. He doesn't talk of course, but I was expecting something else from him, like how I can sort of feel Princess's affection... Well, a wheel can't hug somebody.
The fact that he's here though proves that he's sapient, so... "Oh, and thanks for the help with Saber. You made that even really fun." And embarrassing! But there's no denying that it's a memory that I won't ever forget it.
And then suddenly the wheel spins, and a feeling of calmness washes over me, I think this is his way of communicating. Um... Maybe he doesn't enjoy fights that much? In that case it would make sense for him to complete ignore my comment about Lancer.
The Wheel spins once again, and yet again that feeling of calmness washes over me. Yep, this confirms it. "Ah, sorry then, because I will probably be getting into tons of fights from now on." It just can't be helped.
The Wheel spins once again, a feeling of... frustration? Acceptance? Of something washes over me. I try my best to parse over what he's trying to say, as is my duty. If the guy got stuck in my soul I better be nice at least.
I... "You want me to have you around even when I'm not fighting?" Another spin. Confirmation. "Because... that way maybe I can accidentally stop fights from ever happening, right?" Confirmation.
Well, I wouldn't mind that.
Lycaon laughs. "How the hell are you talking like that!? He can hear your thoughts, but it shouldn't work the same for you! You look like a crazy person right now..." Should you really been saying that?
Immediately Princess stops hugging me, and moves over to him. I don't think she is giving him a hug though... "Ah! Stop it! Do you know how awful it is to have fur and still be cold!?" I shall ignore them.
That said his question was interesting. "Honestly, I don't know how I get what he's saying. I guess I can just sort of feel it...?" It's not like I'm reading his mind either...
Regulus interjects. "Well, don't worry too much about it. At least you're communicating with Telos Karma in the first place, even if you can't explain how. The last wielder of him probably couldn't even do that." Huh? Why's that?
Regulus immediately answers. "Because much like Gilgamesh desires to do, he wasn't born with Telos Karma, he stole it." So Longinus theft is something common!? That's scary...
Ddraig sighs. "Stealing Sacred Gears in general is common. My previous partner once had a woman that got hers stolen, and died because of it. It's alright though, since she came back as a devil." Oi.
Still... Does this mean that there are negative consequences to stealing a Longinus? I guess I can throw that in Gilgamesh's face next time. Not that he would care too much about it.
Ddraig nods. "Indeed, but it depends on the process used to steal it. The thief of Telos Karma for example, had to manifest the Longinus into a gauntlet. I also imagine he could not communicate with it, as he would lack a natural soul link..."
"That said the latter problem doesn't really matter much for creatures like me and Regulus." Right, since you're easy to understand. "That said, I would bite his head off, so stealing me is off the table for the King of Heroes." Why though!?
"Isn't it simple? I don't like him. As frustrating as my old partner was, he taught me that the ones who truly become powerful are the ones who desire to protect. That king doesn't seem to be that type, and I like powerful partners." Ah...
Regulus chuckles. "Careful Ddraig, as you can see, your new partner is weak to praise." Sorry! "That said, I agree with Y Ddraig Goch. And besides, a hero like Gilgamesh who carelessly throws his weapons without mastering them... he is not suited for a Longinus." When did this become a Daichi praise party!?
Lycaon smiles. "There is no joy trying to corrupt the corrupt. In that way you are a better master than him." Oi, that is a praise I don't need. "Besides, I don't respect the guy. If he was raping the brides of Uruk and taking their virginities, he should have naturally raped the men as well." Yeah, I definitely don't need to hear this.
At least Princess's hug gets tighter. That's the type of praise that I couldn't reject in a million years.
I clear my throat. "T-thanks everyone." And then I look at the Wheel. "Anyways, I'll follow your advice of course." The drain of my stamina and mana from having him active at all the times shouldn't be too bad. "That said, can we avoid perverted accidents like the one with Artoria?" I won't survive another.
The wheel spins and... denies me!? "H-hey, for real!?" Another spin... Yes, for real. Why the hell is the Wheel of Dharma blushing!? How the hell does a wheel blush in the first place!?
Ddraig sighs. "Everyday from now on I shall thank the God of the Bible that my previous partner was born with me, and not this one." Yeah, I guess the Boob Dragon would be invincible with this guy.
I pout. "Well, I guess I can't do anything about that..." Besides, I sort of enjoy-, people can read my mind here! "Just try to not get me killed." Also, a incident with Illya would be ni-, my mind is a open book while I'm here!
Trying to quickly change this situation, I summon the next, and final Longinus. "D-Divine Dividing!" I shall bring a new elephant in the room, except he's actually a massive dragon.
Ddraig quickly objects. "W-wait, maybe you should ignore that guy!" But it's far too late at this point. Not that I would have ever agreed to summoning everyone except Albion anyways.
A gigantic white dragon appears, just as gigantic as Ddraig. Though while the red dragon has a feral aura to him, the white dragon is far more majestic. I guess one could say it's similar to the difference between Gilgamesh and Artoria. Though I probably shouldn't say Artoria resembles the white dragon...
And immediately this majestic white dragon... starts rambling. "Partner, you have awakened a new Longinus. However, do not use it, for it will make you reliant on its cheap gimmick. Keep using the Divine Dividing instead." That's the first thing you say!?
Ddraig's eye twitches. "Reliant on its cheap gimmick? What the hell are you on about Albion!? Also, my partner will naturally use my gauntlet!" Why do I have a bad feeling about it?
Albion's eyes widen. "Oh, so you already decided to show yourself? And yes, it is a cheap gimmick. If your previous partner had actually trained his body like Vali, then I imagine he would be invincible, considering the amount of Boosts he could use."
Ddraig snorts. "Last I remember my previous partner tended to beat the shit out of your partner whenever it mattered. Besides, if it wasn't for me, that red spear wouldn't have been broken, 'cause your divide ain't shit."
Albion grits his teeth. "My divide is far better than boost. Wouldn't you agree, Partner?" Oh shit.
Ddraig looks at me. "I know you haven't messed around with my gauntlet yet, but it's pretty clear that boost is way, way better, right, partner?" My mind can be read here.
Which means I can't hold back what I think. "W-well, in my opin-." I wake up.
...
"Ugh... I feel awful..." Slowly my eyes open, and the first thing I notice, is that I'm neither in the Emiya household, or in my own apartment. This isn't Rin's house either... In fact I don't recognize this place at all.
And then second thing I notice is Caster's hands on my neck chest. A smirk appears on her face as she notices me waking up. "I see you finally returned to the land of the living, boy." For once she is without her hood, allowing me to see her face.
Without a doubt she is beautiful. And when met by a attractive woman with a developed body who is straddling my chest, there is only way I could ever react.
"Ma'am, I'm sixteen years old."
"I see?"
