I FINISHED THE UI MOD <3
🕑 Added 2024-06-24 15:49:23 +0000 UTCI'm so happy! Working on this mod felt like going to hell and back all at the same time. I remember spending 4 hours looking for the right image to change a handle, and I thought about giving up THE ENTIRE TIME. But even with my partner's support to do something "more useful," I knew that... "DAMN, this is what I want to do, no matter how much I don't want to do it xD"
So I persisted, and here we are. ONE DAY before the deadline I set to complete the work. The mod is ready. However, I'm ahead of schedule. With that, I'm REFINING and rebuilding small parts that I had previously only recolored, all so that the mod's identity meshes even better. Some examples of the small changes I'm incorporating are included in the image below.
Today, my mission will be to create a secondary version with struts instead of bars on the sliders. And icons instead of numbers. That is, bars + numbers / Icons + plumbobs. A simple job, but a bit tiring. At least I can guarantee to you that my interface mod is not just a recolor, EVERYTHING has been rebuilt from scratch. One element or another remained the same (in terms of icons), but everything else has been redone. Each image in the file CHANGES something. This mod doesn't just gather a bunch of purposeless images (like the game files).
With this, if you want to create your own interface mod, you will have the necessary resources for it. Nothing more, nothing less. (okay, maybe one, two, or three extra files that I included just in case) I kept the original names, so any beginner in S3Pe can easily locate the original files (if they prefer)
As you know, I create mods to inspire others to create as well, so there's no mystery, and if I could leave a message for the future, it's that you don't need to be talented to do what I do. You just need to have a deep desire and resist the urge to quit, which you'll encounter at every step of the process.
I'm not a UI/UX designer, and I don't even understand Photoshop like a genius. I only know how to make my thumbnails for the channel and play with texture overlays. I'm sure there are people out there who are much more talented than I am. So, tomorrow the mod will be available to you, and this is my sneak peek of the various interfaces that were created. Follow the live streams on the channel where I work live, interacting, answering questions, and supporting other creators and even other aspiring creators. Thank you for supporting my dream of making a living doing something I'm not only passionate about but something that excites me 25 hours a day, and that I can't wait to wake up and get back to.
I hope you like the result and have a lot of fun playing. And before I forget, thank you for your feedback. I wouldn't have gotten this far without it.
