it's a simple animation plus some IK to make the girl's head follow the lips of the player.

in the older projects, i got rid of the clipping by having the girl be pushed by back by the head. now the girl is the one initiating the movement so i need to resolve who wins. when kissing, the girl doesn't budge and since the guy doesn't budge either, it clips. but yeah, there's still quite a bit to do after looking at some of those videos. they eyes, the expressions, lots. i will iterate more on it later. thanks for the tips

Yea that's a really hard angle to pull off POV, you basically have to cheat and have her end position set for what looks best in the POV camera. Quite a few VR Porn videos have the "POV kiss" so you can use them for reference too. Another thing you can try is to lean the guys head back some and have her head leaning in the opposite direction so they connect at a V. That way you can have her lips off camera, but the rest of her face visible and of course set your clipping distance as low as possible.
