Cppc is In your bios it's just hidden

It is far more effective on direct die, but you really only do that with intel chips to replace whatever goop they used. The IHS on our Ryzen are actually soldered on, which several reviewers found out the hard way in attempts to delid. Used between the IHS and the heatsink, I get about 3-5 C cooler idle tempos and roughly 5-8 degrees cooler under high load over my next-best thermal compound (which I have found to be Noctua NT-H1 or the newer H2) These are meager gains for the amount of time and care required to use an electrically conductive compound and feel confident about it from a hardware-safety standpoint, so I wouldn't advise it for most users. I'm just nitpicky lol :)

I already know what's wrong. In ctr it charges me with random cores. In ryzen master first loads the cores from ccx0, with the test for 8 cores, all the cores from ccx0 are loaded. In ctr it changes all the time between ccx0 and ccx1 and has a lower clock speed. I do not have cppc in bios (asus strix-e x570), but in ryzen master priority they get better cores first, is there any fix for it?

Good lord in Heaven ... Let's RAGE. oFF-tOPIC: Also trying to get my hands on a 5950 for main. Another 5800X and 5600X soon. ...0n T0p1c: I saw a rage button on RC4 but was a tad frightened to click it. Does it do anything atm by chance or a teaser?

Yuri Bubliy

If you use a level 0 profiler, your system will be stable under absolutely all conditions. I also advise to stick to the voltages that CTR recommends. These are the sweet spots where the CPU is most efficient. At the end of the month I will be introducing a special build called "rage". Anyone who doesn't care about consumption or temperature will get maximum performance.

Sisay

Thank you for the answer. So the real performance is underestimated in terms of the clocking by the voltage. Is there a chance that the system may crash during a load of 1-2 cores?

Yuri Bubliy

The main advantage of the CTR is energy efficiency. The standard boost runs at 1.475V, the CTR has similar or greater performance at 1.375V. The difference is 8 to 10 degrees. After adding dynamic profiles, CO will not stand a chance.

Sisay

ok with the px turned on, one core holds 4950mhz nicely in the cinebench 620-630 points. On default it jumps to 4600-4800mhz and there are the same number of points.

Yuri Bubliy

I do not plan to implement support for the Intel project (CPU-z) in CTR. This test has never been objective and has never been used in reviews. It has never reflected CPU performance. You have 3d mark , Cinebench , Blender and hundreds of other applications with real loads.

Sisay

5950x with px enabled, cpu-z one core = 550 with 640 disabled two core with 1100 enabled and 1320 disabled Something doesn't seem to be working

Tanveer Jugpal

Very excited for this!

Yuri Bubliy

What do you mean?

Yuri Bubliy

I'll try to make a separate video for the 5800X by Friday, but don't worry, it's similar to what you see here. The only difference is that 1CCX processors very rarely reach 5000-5025MHz, but it is realistic to make them cooler.

Yuri Bubliy

No, Zen 2 does not have the required sensors. But I am preparing a mixed mode of operation P1 + P2, it will be available at the end of the month

Aragh

Will dynamic profiles work for Zen 2 in RC5?

gracias senior buble'

BlackHat

Could you pls do an example using a 5800X ?

Fixwec

Wish I could get these even earlier I don't wanna wait for Friday 😭😢

I am using conductonaut on both my 5900X and my 6900XT. Works very well. The only "problem" if you use it on the heat spreader : You won't be able to clean it up. Only way will be to use sandpaper. For the cooler, use nickel plated one and you can easily clean it.

Doug Wilkinson

side question : do you use conductonaut without delidding? i thought it was only for direct die. But i might have the wrong assumption.

Krewd

I saw that blurb about cooling and ordered a new case haha (cuz ive already got a NH-U12A with Conductonaut and a bigger case i as all I can do unless i abandon air for liquid. No thanks)

Bluevisionart

X-mas already🤘 Great job Yuri

Rizlah

they truly are very good, we (CTR Experts) have had access to them for a while now, and with each build that Yuri has done they have got better and better, I personally seen a max 1T of 5125 and 2T of 5100, however like Yuri says it does all depend on cooling and motherboard, because i only have AIO i could not maintain 5125 but I did get single core score in CBR20 of 648 and multicore score of just over 9000 with my 5900x. I have a very bad CCX2 and stock my CBR20 score is under 7500.

...special :P ... DyPX sounds super interesting... cant wait to try it :)
