Wonder (2017) - Full-Length Reaction
🕑 Added 2025-08-27 05:09:21 +0000 UTC"Based on the New York Times bestseller, this movie tells the incredibly inspiring and heartwarming story of August Pullman, a boy with facial differences who enters the fifth grade, attending a mainstream elementary school for the first time."
Owen Wilson didn't say "wow" and I am awash in a sea of despair.

Thank you for recommending it! I really, truly enjoyed it. What you are saying makes total sense! I definitely had a feeling that there was probably things and omitted from the book which would have really benefitted staying in the movie!

This movie is really great but the novel is way better because there are things that were in the Novel that were changed in this movie for example altering the timeline of Auggie's friendship with Summer, excluding the details of Auggie getting hearing aids, simplifying Julian's storyline, omitting significant parts of Via and Miranda's conflict, and focusing less on the internal struggles and thoughts of the characters compared to the book. Additionally, the movie significantly downplayed the death of the family's dog, Daisy. The movie overrall is really great highly recommmend you read the Novel, Nick.
