I think he will get a trait that will help him channel all his energies. He still cant really do that as much as we have seen against Morwag and even Liss told him not to rely too much on his Vessel (Manifestation) and Black Mana. He already has his low pristine passive for his mind as well as the multiple mind(s) he can split. His Mana Physique trait makes handling/channeling mana easier but I think at some point he will need to be able to strengthen himself with Mana as the Champion was doing. Imagine his Const. increasing in proportion with the amount of Mana he is handling…

Badass as ever, this shouldn't be called a cliff, but it still feels like a damn cliff. TFTC. Also, RIP to the guys that died this fight, seems like half the group, maybe more, got killed. Taking chances against a champion as an A rank, even in a stacked group, not a gamble I'd want to take.

While this was an Absolute *wink* aura-farming activity of a chapter, I can't help but look at it recalling the conversations and warnings Liss has made prior to Nat. This was easy. Too easy. But this was a specialized mana Champion dominated by Nat's scary level of control over mana and most importantly, black mana. Liss warned him that he is strong, but only against targets like this. He performed at an Absolute-level of power, but with odds in his favor and support from a defensive and physical focused Champion level subordinates. If this were any normal person in normal circumstances across the board, if they wanted to, they could stop progressing now and return to their planet undoubtedly becoming the Absolute. They'd probably do well, but eventually an Absolute from another planet or their own who isn't specialized in mana would come along and ruin their day. Nat's still got a long way to go. I love that I can safely assume the next chapter will reflect his own similar thoughts and move towards the next step in his climb. He's got too many enemies, too many eyes on him, and loved ones to protect to slow down. Also, more mana to gather...

Amazing chapter. I have had some feedback for a while, but it feels like we haven't had a long arc since the 6th floor. I guess the 8th, since Nat couldn't go to beyond. Just lots a little mini adventures that last a few chapters at most, like the Armory, Humility's event, the Last Elf quest, or the war against Eternal Clowns. I still enjoy the story a lot, and for the beyond stuff the short adventures format kind of make sense, but I do miss a good long arc in one setting.

It was mentioned but not explained. He basically said he believes 3 traits that support each other are stronger than stats or skills, since they can atrophy or get rusty but Traits are different.

I think they stated a different, stronger champion spawns in when one is defeated. So I don’t think he’ll be able to farm that specific champion. He might go for killing other champions though.

ye though the champion being a regenerator makes Nat even more his counter. As eilan put it regenerators can just continue to dump all of their mana continuously. With Nat being able to absorb all the only question was going to be if the regeneration could out regenerate the black mana. Id think if the champ was any of the other 2 specs the fight would have been far more difficult. I think its a tiny bit like rock paper scissors. Amplifiers tend to do better against regenerators while they do a bit better against potency upgrade specs and potency is fighting at a advantage against amplifiers.

I think he’s going to get a brain related trait that helps with large scale processing. The passive is good but I think a trait works on the a deeper level

Give it a year and Nat will fully embrace Liss's attitude: "You call yourself a Champion, even though you can't use your mana properly? I know future animal absolutes with better mana manipulation. " How much mana did he actually use during the fight? Feels like all this saving, and he's basically still got all of it. It's pretty impressive that he can keep the black mana crown stable.
