Development Update

Version 0.11 is approaching completion and I think I'm ready to set a release date. Cassandra's content took a little longer than I hoped but it's nearly done and we should have that finished by the end of this coming week. However, I want to include some other bits to make it a more rounded update and I think two weeks should be just enough time for the extra scenes I had in mind. This means, the beta version should be ready around three weeks from now and I'm setting a release date of July 3rd for the beta. With the main release on July 10th.
Now, when we last left off with Cassandra she was still at level 2 and we were still in chapter 1. I want to make it clear though that there will be no need to start a new save. You will be able to pick up her story again in chapter 2 and you won't miss anything. If you were to restart from the beginning, you would only find that I've put a block on progressing Cassandra past level 3 until you are in Chapter 2. I did this by tweaking her punishment system so that, until you've discovered her weakness and figured out how to exploit it, she won't receive any points of humiliation for being photographed. I felt like this made sense as Cassandra was happy to have her picture taken for the school's wealthy owners. The headmaster will therefore need to figure out a way to make the photographs more embarrassing.
Once this update is finished this will be the last major placeholder from Chapter 1 finally complete. Judging from Priti's convincing win in our last poll, I know people are keen for me to press ahead with her storyline and punishment system, so that's exactly what I'll be doing. Priti is a great character to write scenes for, so I'm very much looking forward to that as well.

By "main release" do you mean those of us that get it a month before 'Public Release'? I would assume that's the case, but I don't like to assume..

The twins didn't "win" second choice. That's not how it works. They had the most second preference votes but that doesn't automatically make them second place, regardless of how many first-choice votes they got. I could have just had only the first choice counting (in which case Faye would definitely have come second) however I would have lost a lot of valuable information about how peoples preferences are distributed. It also allowed me to use a fairer preferential voting system. Much like the one currently being used for the democratic primary in new york. If you want some further reading on preferential voting systems you can find it here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Instant-runoff_voting Anyway, I'm afraid this matter is not up for debate. I ran the numbers, announced the winner and the matter is closed. The twins will still get their update, it'll just be a few months later once I've done Faye's.

You've misunderstood the way the poll worked. There weren't five separate votes. There was one vote where people put their preferences in order. The majority put Priti as their first choice. Faye had more first preference votes than the twins and that's why she finished second.

I think you've misunderstood the graph. Alice had the most 4th and 5th place choices. So she was dead last.

It makes no difference to me if I make the twins update or Faye's update first. The twins will be more work, but I'll still have to do their punishment system at some point. Also, there is no way the twins came first, they got the third-highest first place choices. They got the most second-place choices but that wasn't anywhere near enough to put them ahead of Priti. It was close between the twins and Faye for second, but the AV system put Faye narrowly ahead. I think AV is fairer as it prioritises the votes of those whose first place wasn't chosen (i.e. Alice) and discounted the second-place choice of those whose first place was chosen (i.e. Priti).
By updating does that means we need to restart the game? That's what I experienced in the last update.

Priti is indeed quite lovely. I'm looking forward to her. And I can't wait to see more Cassandra of course. Heck, just come out with, I like every girl and can't wait to see more of everyone.

Not yet, I'm afraid. Probably not until the twins get their own update. They came third in the poll so I've got Priti and Faye's storylines to make first.
