[COMM] Corruption Arc - Chapter 2: Luke
🕑 Added 2023-05-22 15:00:02 +0000 UTCThis was a commission from a patron! I had a ton of fun working on it. Writing a female character who is unabashedly interested in fattening up guys who probably would've been thin their whole lives if they never crossed her path was perfect to sink my teeth into. There are 9 parts total, switching from Nico's perspective to Luke's, and I'll post them here every two weeks.
Enjoy!

Attending a secular school after a life inside his little evangelical bubble was more shocking than he’d assumed it would be. He’d thought maybe the clothes would be the hardest part. His dad and older brothers had warned him not to give into temptation. “Those girls don’t hide god’s gifts under a bushel, that’s for sure,” his dad had said with a disappointed shake of his head. In just his first few hours moving into the dorms, he’d felt shell-shocked by all the exposed skin. Most of the girls he knew–his own fiancée, even–barely ever showed skin below the neck or above the knee. He was friendly with some families that believed it was shameful for girls to even show their arms uncovered. The girls who broke the rules were referred to as “stumbling blocks” for the men and boys around them, little temptresses too prideful to cover up in front of god and everybody.
In the end, though, it wasn’t the clothes that he found most jarring. Instead, he was agog at how many of the young women he saw on campus were… fat. There was very little body diversity (or any diversity) within his old church and community. Gluttony was decried as a terrible sin, especially since the results of it were so visible. Excess fat on a body was a sign of a lack of discipline and faith, a sign someone was straying from God’s design for their body and life.
It wasn’t like he’d never seen a fat person before. But their size had always marked them as other, as a person he shouldn’t get too close to. Even if he found something undeniably appealing about a woman who looked a little too well-fed…
He’d tamped down those perverse feelings for years. The girls he knew had had it burned into their brains that thinness was next to godliness, so there had been–very literally–less for him to resist. No stray thoughts about pushing up a girl’s shirt in private to take a squeeze of a soft belly, or chances to stoke his lust counting the dimples of cellulite on a chubby thigh. He’d been entirely chaste with his fiancée throughout their courtship, and if he’d thought about why, he might’ve been able to admit to himself that he wasn’t particularly attracted to her.
But here at school? Temptation was everywhere. Fat rolls bubbling out over tight waistbands, plump legs bared to the world in shorts and jiggling for all to see, bra straps digging into rounded shoulders–temptation, lust, damnation wherever he looked.
He wondered if maybe he’d made the wrong decision, attending a public university. Most of the kids he knew who bothered to attend college had gone to institutions with doctrinal statements on their websites and were referred to as a “bible college,” even if they had the word “university” in the name. He’d gone against the grain by going to a state school, figuring if he was going to spend a bunch of money and time to get a degree, it might as well be somewhere that would look good on a resumé. He was engaged, after all, and looking ahead to being married and the provider for a family in just a few years.
He gritted his teeth and prayed through it. Every time he felt himself sinning in his heart (and other places), he prayed for strength. He would get through this. He would be stronger for this. Clearly, the Lord was testing him, and he had to prove he could withstand it.
Aside from prayer, he did the only other thing he knew would help distract him: find something industrious to do. His first stop was the tutoring center. He’d found a posting asking for volunteers. He was decent enough at math and had always done well in English, so he figured it couldn’t hurt.
He’d been so confident walking into the center, so excited to have found something helpful to do, that he didn’t realize what he’d done to himself until it was too late. He asked a few other guys milling around the center who he needed to ask about signing up, and they pointed to a desk toward the back. He’d had a little skip in his step the whole while. And then he stepped up to the desk and saw her.
Luke had had half a mind to turn and run right out of there when Nico smiled at him and invited him to sit, arm fat jiggling as she gestured to a seat in front of her desk. Sin incarnate, with an ass swallowing the armless office chair beneath her. He wanted to feel disgust. She couldn’t be much older than him, but she was still the biggest person he’d ever seen in the flesh. With the way she was dressed, it was obvious she knew she was huge and didn’t feel an ounce of shame about it. He’d never encountered anyone like her. She radiated confidence and control, which felt bizarre to him. The girls he knew were shy and demure and hardly seemed to trust themselves enough to speak, but Nico wasn’t like that at all.
Was he feeling lust or panic? He couldn’t say. But he stayed. He reassured himself that this was just another test. Just God showing him everything he needed to overcome, would overcome if only he stayed the course.
He could do that, couldn’t he?
