Lighthouse times
🕑 Added 2022-12-06 07:34:31 +0000 UTCI had almost hit my limit, and so decided to night-wean LaserFraser. So as well as not juicing myself three or four times in the middle of the night I’m also not waking up three or four times in the middle of the night.
I feel incredible. I’ve now had four straight nights of eight hours of sleep, after 13 months of never getting more than 3.5 hours at a stretch (I have an app with this data!) and now, well slept me is full of juice and ambition. Chambers of brain function are unfolding before me. I have put together some DIY furniture projects (hacking an ikea step stool into a toddler learning tower) and planning to break out my paints and canvases. I feel like a golden god. I went for a run. Who’d have thought a week of sleep would be so replenishing.
What a rollercoaster! I was really on the shores of just numb reactive world, and now I feel snazzy. Also I have arranged for a regular babysitter so I have predictable chunks of time to work, rather than stuffing work into the cracks of my day like insulation. One day I might even just chill. Anyway, all very exciting.
I have also now launched a paid time block thing, in response to a request from a Patron. A bit like consultation services, a bit like the one-on-ones I used to do but which were so popular at the $25 level that I ran out of time for them. Oh, gosh, that's sounds exactly how I felt after 13 months! Getting back to some semblance of sleep is *huge*. And the lighthouse just reminds me of Our Flag Means Death <3
