SHOTO'S SYSTEM -✨ Discussing D.I.D✨

Today, we'll begin a discussion of Shoto's system with a look at the most frequently asked questions.
As most of you may be aware, Shoto's system consists of three known alters.
Shoto (The Host)
Sho Sho (The Little)
Turtle (the "Protector")
Currently, he may have other alters that we are unaware of, and they may be dormant and inactive. The turtle, the protector, moves into and out of dormancy and is often activated by the brain during a stressful event or to "protect." Therefore, it is possible that Shoto is unaware of further latent changes in his system, which might be activated in the future by a trigger.
Shoto (the host) may also become dormant if he gets overwhelmed with his responsibilities. However, here is where Goro comes in and how his dependence on Goro saves him from himself. Shoto's day-to-day existence and obligations are made easier by Goro's involvement. Goro often bathes, feeds, and dresses Shoto, among other chores. This also aids the system in a variety of ways and makes Sho Sho feel secure and at ease, enabling him to speak up when he desires.
Important to their coexistence is the fact that their S/M contract is not only sexual in nature. Even though Shoto is capable of doing these tasks on his own, he finds them daunting when he gets "episodes" or "brain fog."
In addition, as a result of the continual switching, Shoto may not recall some events or actions, although Goro normally recalls everything for both of them. Goro plays the "caregiver" role more than the "lover" role, despite being both. Therefore, being in a "relationship" is not very essential to him.
Returning to the system, there are times when Shoto and Sho Sho front at the same time, which is never an easy situation for Goro as it gets quite complicated. Shoto is often highly confused and has mild headaches afterward.
Currently, Shoto's system is very disorganized due to the fact that essential alters, such as "The Gatekeeper," remain inactive. While Shoto has limited control over who may switch and who has access to particular memories, he does not have complete control over either, which is why he cannot control Turtle and cannot control any memories.
Some formerly active alters are now inactive, including the "suicidal alter" or "self-harm alter." This alter was quite active throughout Shoto's time in the Syndicate as well as during the early days of his and Goro's S/M contract. Shoto is unaware of this alter, which has been inactive for a few years, and this alter's primary purpose is to commit suicide or self-harm. Although Shoto (the host) has depressive episodes and suicidal thoughts, this is not his primary motivation for existing.
While he is the "Protector," Turtle is also exceedingly "homicidal," which is extremely uncommon in D.I.D. systems. As a result of the stress and Hiro, Turtle has become a kind of shattered alter. Due to their brutal upbringing, he was pushed to become this way, despite the fact that he was not intended to be like this. Individuals with DID are more inclined to damage themselves than others. However, this is not the case with Shoto's system. Currently, Shoto's system is very chaotic and disorderly.

I wonder.. Goro knows Shoto very well, is he not aware of his mental illness and the fact that he has Turtle personnality? I mean, he trusts Shoto as if he does'nt know that he can become very dangerous

His dad definitely has something, but I at that time I think Shoto was being hyperviligent . For example if you have a drunk, strict or abusive person close to you sometimes they will act like a friendlier , loveable, or acceptable person and others someone you world rather avoid

Does Hiro have this disorder too? I remember reading in the novel that Shoto said the time he was on his way home from the basketball game that he isn’t sure which one(Hiro) he is going home to that day.

Goro actually does not have D.I.D. He has mastered access to his self-consciousness, which makes him very intelligent and highly aware. Not only has he mastered self-awareness to the fullest extent, but he's also very hypervigilant. He is able to manifest his self-consciousness to make faster, more rational decisions and exercise more self-control. While his self-consciousness can come off as a different 'personality' or 'alter', he is just who Goro really is and his true beliefs. This also has alot to do with the Japanese culture of 'Honne-Tatemae'. This will be explore in the comic .

Idk why but after reading that it made me feel relieved & somewhat calm cuz I can sense the sincerity in addressing this type of mental disorder that could become easily annoying cuz lack of research. Which in this case, no. I also love, love, love how Goro is portrayed as caregiver/lover & not just a master to Shoto. Again, this series amazed me through and through especially about the characters & their complexities, drama, conflicts & mostly about self 🫰❤️ I truly truly didn't regret handing out money every month since IT'S. WORTH. IT

So interesting so but many questions: is Goro aware of Shoto's DID? Does Goro also have DID? It seems like he was talking to an alter when he wanted to kill everyone after Shoto was attacked.
