Hey Alec, while you’re correct on absolute terms and yes it may work on spreadsheets if we back test but the most important element is emotions. TQQQ could go through a max drawdown over 90%. I know nobody who would have the courage the hold through a 90% drawdown in their portfolio and continue to keep buying.

Thanks Kartik. But what happens when you compare the past for ex qqq vs tqqq? I understand we cant use the past for the future, but it seems that if you do an in depth analysis of buy and hold for both, it seems that even with decay, double negative returns and the fees, if you just held and never sold the tqqq outperforms much more than the qqq. I have a feeling people just bash the leverage saying high risk, but monte carlo calculators seem to say otherwise. You can even use covid or 22 crash. Can you look into it?
