Art
Chapter 1 and 2 of Kalei’s routes CGs. I went with some softer shading methods as opposed to hard cell shading. I don’t think it’s too jarring difference from the rendering on the others and a soft boy should have shading to match after all!
The other chapters and endings you’ll see CGs like before you’ll have to see in the game itself!
Haven Home beach inked by Happypaca and rendered by TJ Lee
Funfact, theres no seashells on the beach bc technically that would imply animals that lived in said shells would have died. Which is not possible normally in the afterlife. But that doesnt make the beach any less beautiful!
As I input script into the game I make extra sprite edits to better reflect the emotion of a scene. Pays off to not only be the primary artist of the project AND its writer… even if it means more work! I’ve said this countless times before but I want this game to look nice if nothing else.
All the sprites above appear in Kalei’s route so I’ll leave it to the imagination on what will happen!
Programming
It’s coming along! Scripts are still being input but at a much faster pace with our method.
But, that being said, our head programmer due to unfortunate circumstance has to organize an emergency move so they’ll be absent for most of March. But Sam and I will continue on doing the more monkey work of the programming so it’ll be ready for polish when they are settled in at their new place.
Other
We got done Recording Rosita’s line this month! The talent in this game just blows me every time I do a recording session with them.
Also, I meant to do more twitch streams like promised last month but I kept pushing it off.. Woops… I’ll try to do better for March!
