Hi again!
Eros here, I’m feeling much better than I was last month! Thank you to all the kind messages people sent in response to April’s update. I still want to try to release the game this year but am happy to know that backers of the project are willing to wait a bit longer than advertised. Here at Cereus we’re grateful people are understanding of the struggles we face to make sure this game is completed and something special.
This month lets cover some stuff we got done!

Backgrounds
Alleyway (illustrated by Eros)
This scene appears in DJ and Noel’s route after having a fateful encounter with a geist! Seems the player hit a deadend...
Secret Passage (illustrated by Eros)
Scene appears in Mitts route when choosing to steal something from Hordes. The backrooms myth was heavy inspiration for this if it wasn’t obvious.
Garage (illustrated by Eros)
Scene appears in Mitts route when choosing to steal something from Hordes. Who knew Hordes had such a killer car just hiding around!
Irene’s Office (Inked by Eros, Rendered by TJ)
Irene’s office space. Girl has lots of awards and trophies she likes to have on display!
Sin Atonement and Social Services (Inked by Eros, Rendered by TJ)
Scene is seen in Irene and Ramon’s route when the player is trying to retrieve their death report. You get it faster in one route than the other is all I will say.
Sprites
From left to right: Brooke (human), Felicikitty (demon), Lilith (child? demon), Puppet (child? angel)
Brooke: A simple man that needs the player’s help in Kalei’s route.
Felicikitty: A fun loving glutton demon bartender that works at the Genesis bar in Hell. Appears in Irene’s route.
Lilith: Princess of Hell
Puppet: Thrones Seraphim
Lilith and Puppet’s faces have been obscured and details withheld of when and where they appear because of spoilers :x shhhhh!
Writing
Ramon: COMPLETE
Kalei: COMPLETE
DJ: COMPLETE
Mitts: COMPLETE
Rosita:10% Being Rewritten/ on Chapter 1
Noel: 15% On Chapter 1
Irene: 90% needs finalization
Fayebael: 1% Being Rewritten
Cheri: 20% need other routes to be finished before can be worked on
By “Complete” that means the text part is complete and all is left is to place image/sprite/etc cues for programmers to implement.
Writing for the main 6 routes and parts of Faye should be done by June! Sam has been a big help in the writing department and I’m grateful she’s as dedicated to this project as I am.
Programming
Programmers on staff (Hatchet, Sebastian, and Evan) set up source control for easier collaboration between programmers so the programming part will go by much smoother! Since this is a visual novel the code is fairly simple so showing it would be boring for those that understand and confusing for those that don’t. But progress is being made to rebuild the demo!
I have high hopes the demo could possibly be re-released in June for the 1 year anniversary and pride month! But if not then so understand.

That about summarizes this month’s progress report. We hope this is satisfactory!
Next month I am going to be preparing for Anime Matsuri in Houston TX (July 8th-11th) at table D-05 so art wise might be a little sparse but I do want to finish Rosita’s route and start on Faye’s by the end of it.
June is going to be a very busy month … Please pray for me lol!
