Title: Equalization...
….
After some eye-opening experiences, I start eating dinner with Neon, and finally, I can feel Karla's presence in one of the dark corners of the room.
Not even Kurapika or anyone else seems to notice her. I look to the side of the room and give Karla a look to stop her from doing anything reckless, she is reckless for someone that is also strangely sophisticated.
"So Greed, did you find what you want here?" Asks Neon, and I smile at her, patting her on the head.
"Of course I did. I learned way more than you would have thought, Neon." I answer her truthfully, after all, now I understand what the black turning red means. "I also love the way your blonde-haired bodyguard is looking at me."
Kurapika is looking at me calmly, but the tightening of his fist isn't anything to joke about, he is seriously angry at me for revealing his secret right in the open… there aren't a lot of exterminated clans as of lately and Kurta is the most prominent one that comes to anyone's mind.
"Hm?" Neon is confused by this and she turns around and looks at Kurapika, though she doesn't seem to notice anything wrong. "Hey~ Greed, don't tease me~"
I smile. "I couldn't help myself."
Deciding not to brush any further in the subject, I just get up and start walking away. "See you around Neon."
….
-General POV-
As Sub walks outside of the room, it is left with only Neon and the four bodyguards. Karla also left already with Sub.
Melody can hear the fast and unrhythmic beat in Kurapika's heart. But what she is more concerned about is with the man called Greed (Sub)... his heartbeat was abnormal. It was the least rhythmic heartbeat she has heard in her life, it seemed to beat so fast, but slow at the same time. 'It is unbelievable that something so inhuman it was.'
What she didn't know was that she wasn't hearing just one heartbeat inside of Sub's body… but more than a hundred hearts beating simultaneously.
"Puah! Now that Greed is gone, everything else will start becoming boorish as hell." Complains Neon, leaning on her hands as a pout adorns her face.
Melody can hear the strange heartbeat of Neon when she talks about the man named Greed. 'Ah… the young miss is in love. Sadly, I doubt a man like that will ever reciprocate her feelings.'
Normally people can't tell someone's emotions, but Melody could, and Greed's heartbeat startled even her as it wasn't something belonging to a human.
..
Kurapika on the other hand also relaxes after Greed walks out. He also notices that the man didn't touch his food at all and only drank some tea that he had with himself.
'How cautious…' Contemplates Kurapika. 'A man as strong as him being cautious? How strange…'
Immediately he has seen through Greed's minuscule actions and saw a small glance of the man's true personality.
"Excuse me, Miss Neon. I will be doing a perimeter patrol just in case." Says Kurapika walking outside with an intense look in his eyes.
….
-Sub POV-
I just wait outside of the building for Kurapika to come. I have a sword in my hand, one forged hundreds of years ago by a nameless blacksmith.
The Nen inside of it is crazy though, so the blacksmith had some intense desire for something. Nothing malicious it seems, as the sword doesn't have a curse on it. But on the other hand, it has sharpness, knockback, unbreaking, and mending. It also can change shape depending on the wielder, it best fit for me and it became a great sword.
An amazing weapon, one that the blacksmith likely gave his life to make, activating Nen after death, rising its power to another level. It would be a perfect weapon… that is if I didn't already go to the Dark Continent that is. Because my Nen already has surpassed it, and I can make a translucent sword with my rock-like Nen and it would be about the same level as this sword.
Meaning that Nen after death isn't absolute, conditions can make someone strong, but too many of them will make one weak also.
My road ahead is simple, I just need to grow stronger and my Nen will follow along. Plus with the virus-like abilities at my disposal, everything is perfect.
Recently Hisoka fought with Castro, the latter was affected by my virus ability, giving him a monstrous regeneration. He just wanted to fight against Hisoka and win. That was his desire, I helped him complete it, but Hisoka still killed him after losing both arms and a leg, though Machi helped him reattach those.
Slowly I concentrate on my Nen and an exact figure appears next to me, just like a clone.
<Double>
Since it uses Conjuration mostly, I can create it easier than Castro could. After all, this absorption process is quite good. Now I just need to think of the people in the world who have desires who want to be completed.
I don't know many good Nen users outside of the canon story who want something like that. But now I do… I just need to be careful, I am after all here to "help" them. After absorbing Castro, my Nen amount has increased proportionally… and I also discovered something strange… I can use Enhancement at 100%...
Though this ability resembles a weakened one of Meruem, it is still amazing. I have plans to start creating some Enhancer Hatsu abilities.
Hmmm… I could complete Karla's desire and then… *sigh* sadly I can't do that. Though I hate to admit it, the girl has grown on me. I am attached to her now. Just imagining her death brings about a sad pang in my heart. Emotions are quite illogical… but even I can't simply throw them away, sometimes I wish I could, but I can't.
"Greed~" Karla's soft voice lands in my ear. Teasing me about the new nickname that I gave to myself.
Speak of the devil and she shall appear, so they say. But Karla to me is more like a succubus.
"There are two of you now." She points at my clone. "Do you wanna have a sandwich?"
"No, controlling my clone while my mind is preoccupied with you is an impossible task," I tell her, but maybe this could be a method of training. The clone is like a puppet and it can't move without my commands as it also requires great concentration. But if I can control it while I fuck Karla, that would train my concentration.
Plus my brain has enough storage so I won't run out of memory space. Especially now that I have something like a subconscious mind space where the centipede lives, it means that as long as I wish for a memory, it will appear in front of my mind. Quite the useful by-product made when I was in the Dark Continent.
Karla pouts as she disappears into my shadow. "Hmph! Always concentrated on training…"
As soon as she disappears, Kurapika comes out and looks me straight in the eyes. "Greed… I would like to ask you something."
He brings out his <Truth Chain> and levels it at me. If it moves it means that I am lying, if not then I am telling the truth.
"Do you have any connections with the Phantom Troupe?"
