Title: Desperate Situation...
….
I look around and see people from the city looking at us with calm looks on their faces. What the hell is going on here? They don't even seem surprised?
WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?!!
…
They must be under some kind of control? Or maybe the creators of the game want me dead? No, the latter is unlikely, but none of that matters as I look at Karla and whisper to her. “Heal my knees.”
She nods at that as I pull out the pieces of metal from my knees and bandages wrap around and start healing my knees. I get up and pick up Karla, there is no reaction in her eyes as she looks at her missing legs. She only wraps bandages around them to stop her bleeding and I put her on my back, facing the opposite side and she ties herself to me.
I feel bandages start wrapping around me, and I immediately have the instinct to push them away, but in the end, I decide to trust Karla as bandages wrap around my body. I can feel her power start to heal me and her Nen washes over me, offering some defense too.
“WRAGAAAARDD!!” The people in town immediately start charging at me. I decide to jump towards one of the roofs.
But as I do so, Karla says. "Careful! There is a person hiding on the roof with a bomb-like vest attached to him."
"Take us away then." I say to her calmly as she extends one of her bandages and she pulls both of us up at a utility line pole. As we stand there on top of it. I easily keep my balance atop it.
My eyes move quickly and with a rough estimation, I can guess that there must be around two hundred people. All of them are using Nen, though none of them seem to have a Hatsu activated. Still, I better keep an eye on them... just in case.
This is a bad situation, they are probably being controlled, and if I were a betting man, I would say that the manipulator is close by to order the people here. Or maybe they are far away and have only left pre-programmed responses on the corpses.
No… that bomb attack, and when we were about to land on that roof. I doubt someone could have predicted that good, though I am still not taking that possibility out of the table.
I look at the huge crowd of people coming towards the line post which I am standing on. I try to look as good as I can and even activate my EN, to elapse the whole crowd and feel any movements within it.
That is when I sense one of the 'controlled' people not moving as fast as the others.
"Found you~" I say with a smile on my face and the muscles in my legs bulge as I dash towards the person who is moving strangely.
Boom!
The land post behind me is broken by my leap, I pay no attention to it.
As I get closer to the target I turn the Aura in my hands to have sharp edges.
I get within arm's length of the person, I see that they are wearing a cloak. The person pulls back his fist and that is when I see the muscular arm of the man.
"Bad move kid~" Says the man in a cheery voice.
Only then do I realize the trouble that I am in. So I cross my arms to block the attack.
Baam!
His hit landed on me and it pushed me back, but I had used KO to concentrate 100% of my Nen into the point of impact so I wasn't injured. I only flew backward.
Karla uses her bandages so we don't fall in the middle of the crowd. We land on top of a church-like building.
I have more time to think as Karla brings us there. Was that the Manipulator? Though his attacks were strong, it could be maybe some type of weird acupuncture therapy or Hatsu?
Is there another attacker? If it was, then they must be close to the muscular man for protection. I use EN once more and I can sense movements all around me in a range of forty meters.
Hmmm… I don't sense any other strange movement around the muscular man. Is he truly alone? Damn… I was taken by surprise… and all of the people are Nen users so even when my EN makes contact with their Aura I won't be able to tell who even is the true Manipulator.
Hmmm… what do I do? I know that I can't beat hundreds of Nen users in a fight, no matter how weak they are. In a situation like this, numbers start adding up and some amongst them probably have bombs attached to them too. The Manipulator didn't seem to mind using the bodies as suicide bombers either.
Well... I guess that running away is the safest option.
I turn around and start running away, as I do so I ask Karla. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah…" Says Karla in a calm voice.
"Don't worry." I reassure her. "There exists a card called Angel's Breath in this game, we can use it to heal you."
"Uhuh…" Karla nods at that. I can feel that she is in a bad mood. But she doesn't let that interrupt her thought process in a fight.
Fwish!
Immediately I can feel some projectiles enter my EN zone and I sense movement. I gaze towards where it is coming from and see that it is a dozen or so feathers thrown at me.
I jump forward to dodge the attack, but I see that the feathers follow me like a homing missile.
Fwosh!
But Karla takes this moment to use her bandages to catch all of the projectiles and not let them move. Due to the vow that she made on her life, her bandages are filled with a crazy amount of Nen, so the feathers stood no chance.
I look up and see a blond effeminate man with wings like an angel as he is also wearing a white robe.
How the did such strong Nen users come here? Didn't everyone in the canon timeline get owned by Genthuru, that guy was quite weak overall. So why are there stronger people?
I need some answers!
As I think that, I look at the flying guy. I wanna go to capture and torture some information out of him. But that would take too long, we need to escape from here.
….
….
Half an hour later and I am still running away, that flying guy is easily following me, even though I am going at top speed.
Fwosh!
His Hatsu is made for flying so this will be harder than I thought, and I can't last forever either. Is there a way to hide from him?
….
In the end, as we are running, I go into a house and dig myself underground and hide there. Me and Karla both use Zetsu to hide our Nen to make us undetected, though as we do that, both of our Hatsu abilities cancel out. I have to tie up tightly the bandage around Karla's stumps now.
Damn, this sucks… this is a horrible situation. I mean even in the house they will find us underground eventually.
DAMN IT!!! I have never felt so weak, I need to become stronger. WAY STRONGER!!!
I look at Karla and smile at her confidently, I don't want to worry her at all with this. I don't want her to feel despair as it will inhibit her ability to fight.
My brain works faster than ever as I try and come up with an idea.
….
