I suspect the closed blinds was more about keeping contrast levels down for photographic purposes more than anything. I'm more interested in the two front entrances. What's up with that? I actually saw that on another big 70s house/proto McMansion which I shared on the Discord so I'm wondering if having two front doors, one in the "normal" place and one in between the main house and "garage wing" was a thing back then.
