Mami sat on the wooden chair in the middle of the storage room. Her hands were tied behind her back, and her ankles were bound tightly with nylon ropes, leaving her almost unable to move. Every time she tried to struggle, the ropes dug painfully into her skin, leaving red marks and stinging sharply.
Soft sunlight streamed through the small window, illuminating her body and revealing the imprints of the ropes and the silver tape that sealed her mouth tightly, muffling any sound she tried to make.
Her heart raced uncontrollably, not just from the pain of the bindings, but from sheer panic — her swimsuit, the one she had been wearing just moments ago… had suddenly disappeared.
Her eyes widened in shock. She tried to call out, but all that escaped was a muffled “mmph!” from beneath the tape. Her mind was flooded with confusion and fear. She couldn’t understand what had happened — had someone entered the room again? Or was the captor trying to unsettle her deliberately?
Mami drew a deep, trembling breath and tried to focus. Her hands tied behind her back rendered her powerless to touch anything, and her feet bound to the chair made it nearly impossible to move. She tested her restraints slightly, but even the smallest movement caused the old wooden floor to creak, making her freeze instantly.
She scanned the room once more. Old wooden crates and dusty cloths were piled in the corners, and in the far corner, a small surveillance camera sat silently — its lens dark and lifeless, broken beyond use.
> No one can see me now… No one knows I’m here.
Mami lowered her head slightly. Fear slowly gnawed at her hope, but she refused to give up. She began to measure the distance between the chair and the crates, thinking that maybe she could use them to leverage her body or find something to loosen the ropes.
But every time she tried to move, the strain from the ropes reminded her of her helplessness, pain, and embarrassment. Exhaustion mixed with fear made her heart pound violently.
Even though her body was completely restrained, Mami’s eyes remained alert. She used them in place of her hands, in place of her voice, and as a source of hope — watching, analyzing, and waiting for the one chance to turn the situation around.
And in that quiet storage room by the sea, the soft sound of waves crashing outside only emphasized her isolation, echoing inside her mind and heart…
