Chapter 69: Reunion
🕑 Added 2021-09-09 16:23:49 +0000 UTCRight after, the magistrate instinctively pulled out the musket in his hand, aimed at Shillong, and pulled the trigger!
*Bang!*
A gunshot sounded.
The bright flame from the muzzle of the musket brightened the room!
Time seemed to have been frozen!
Shillong's vertical pupils shrank slightly as a stream of golden particles burst into his pupils!
He watched as a black bullet appeared from the muzzle of the musket and slowly headed towards him!
When the bullet was a dozen centimeters away from Shillong's chest, an overwhelming force of repulsion suddenly appeared!
*Boom!*
The repulsive force exploded on the bullet and the whole thing spun and flew backward! Towards the head of the magistrate who fired it!
’Damn!
If it hits the magistrate, he will be dead, and then we'll be in real trouble!’
That's not what Shillong wanted!
In that instant, the repulsive force disappeared and was replaced by gravity!
The partial gravity was instantly applied to the bullet, and the bullet that had been aimed at the head deflected downwards and hit the sheriff's armor instead!
There was a small hole in the shiny silver armor!
The entire bullet was embedded in it!
Wisps of hot air were rising from the bullet!
"Whirrrrrrrrrrrrrr ......."
The sound of violent gasping was extraordinarily clear in the small room.
The sheriff and the proprietress were deeply horrified, especially the proprietress, whose pants became a little wet .....
Although she was frightened, she didn't know that the abnormal reaction just now came from the two foreigners she looked down on.
She stood up there both confused and terrified.
The sheriffs, for their part, gripped their weapons firmly in their hands.
The magistrate who had fired the shot gulped involuntarily, his eyes looking in horror at the bullet that had been fired into his chest armor!
'What had just happened?
Why had the bullet that had been fired hit his body?
The captain of the team took a deep breath and bellowed, "Everyone, stay put!"
This directly calmed the other foolish magistrates who were ready to move.
And immediately afterward, he addressed Shillong, "What did you just do to us? Was it special magic?"
It was clear to the Magistrate that the Dragonborn before him was not as simple!
That aura that he was giving off… the rebounding bullet!
A guy with this kind of strength is definitely not something that a mere 8 sheriffs with armor and weapons can handle!
So the Sheriff Captain wanted to change the subject and end the fight!
"Sorry! I was in a bit of a bad mood just now, are you guys alright?" Shillong's face was faintly apologetic.
The irritable mood drove his body's instincts to unnaturally radiate his own Dragon Might domain.
Although it wasn’t fully unleashed, it was enough for these few people to freeze, especially the instinctive counterattack that had almost cost them their lives!
The magistrates on the opposite side had done nothing wrong; they were just doing their duty and were simply implicated by Shillong's Dragon Might, which was why Shillong apologized.
"It's okay. We're okay." The magistrate was inexplicably relieved to hear Shillong's apology, "You just said you know Andre Claudius, do you have any proof of that?"
"All you have to do is go to the Soderberg Chamber of Commerce and inform him that Shillong and Arman are here to see him, he'll come immediately once he knows we're here!" Shillong said.
"That ......." The sheriff was a little hesitant.
"Don't worry, we're not thieves or villains, we won't run away and we won't hurt you," Shillong said, his face looking very sincere.
"All right." The sheriff agreed, then turned his head behind him and said, "Jack! Tom! You two go to the Soderberg Chamber of Commerce and find Mr. Andre! Confirm with him and come back quickly!"
The two magistrates responded instantly and headed towards their mission.
"Just a moment, gentlemen, it will take about an hourglass of time to get to the Soderberg Chamber of Commerce." The sheriff said.
An hourglass is an hour.
There was no point for Shillong and Arman to stay in the room waiting, but they remained there anyway.
An hour passed and the two sheriffs who had gone finally returned.
They brought back a handsome blonde man of about 30 years old. He was dressed in a large robe inlaid with gold silk.
It was Andre in his human form.
Of course, it was not his true human form! But he had been developing his business in the human world for twenty years and many people know him. He had to age at a rate that was acceptable to others.
After twenty years in the business world and the great growth of wealth, Andre is now a charmer in the eyes of women!
The proprietress, who had previously looked down on Shillong and Arman very much, was leaning in the doorway, with her long legs twisted together, her arms wrapped around her chest and her face as red as a tomato as she looked at Andre next to her ......
"Mister Andre! It must be a blessing from the gods of love and beauty that you are here! I'm really so lucky to have you in my inn!" The proprietress said with a happy face.
"Greetings! Madam, I'm here to see my friends." Andre said and stepped inside the door of the room.
Looking at Shillong and Arman, he walked closer, twitching his nose slightly as Shillong changed from human to Dragonborn.
Arman, on the other hand, had remained in his dragon form. Naturally, Andre couldn't tell at the first sight that the humanoid in front of him was Arman. Nevertheless, being a true Dragon, Andre has an extremely sensitive sense of smell.
And after a gentle sniff, Andre's eyes lit up. He smiled and hugged Shillong and Arman, "You two are finally here! I've been waiting for you all these years! From tomorrow onwards! Let's create a new movie era together!"
"As long as I and Shillong are here, people will witness a revolutionary era of cinema, you just have to watch from the side!" Arman said with a grimace on his face.
For his part, Shillong just smiled. The development of these twenty years in the Starland Kingdom was all thanks to Andre. He has already recognized the other party, so there wasn’t anything there to be said against them.
It was a good thing these two guys knew Andre. It was a good thing they didn't do anything stupid, otherwise, they would have been beaten up and there would have been no chance to defend themselves!
A few magistrates looked at each other and sighed in relief.
The proprietress was looking with her eyes wide open... ‘these two poor bastards... They really know Andre!
’How can this be true! How could two poor beings know a rich man like Andre!’
That meant they were really rich! They weren't the thieves as she thought they were!
’Damn it! Why do you want to stay in a 10-copper room when your outfit is worth so much?
’What's wrong with you?’
’I've been running this inn for ten years, and this is the first time I've seen such psychopaths!’
The proprietress was very angry deep down, but her face always maintained a smile. She said, "My dear little brothers, there's been a misunderstanding! Ah, what a stupid misunderstanding! So you really know Mr. Andre? To be honest, I am a big admirer of Mr. Andre! We're all on the same side! We're a family after all! Yeah, we're all family!"
"Hey, who are you calling ‘little brother’? I'm forty years old! Shouldn't I be older than you?" Arman said with displeasure.
He felt like this woman was taking advantage of him!
"Uh ......." The proprietress's face twitched and she smiled awkwardly, "Little brother, it's all a misunderstanding! I will now immediately arrange a noble suite for you, as an apology, what do you think?"
"That's fine! In that case, I'll forgive you!" Arman said smilingly.
"Forget it, guys." Andre spoke up, "You can just go with me back today, there's no need to stay here. I have a house here, it will be absolutely more comfortable for you!"
"Great! Let's go then!" Arman said.
Andre nodded and turned towards the door of the room, he looked at the proprietress who was somewhat in the way, and said, "Ma'am, could you move over?"
”Oh, yes, yes!" The proprietress hurriedly moved out of the way and, seeing Shillong and Arman following each other out, suddenly spoke out, "Mr. Andre! And the two little brothers, don’t forget to come over sometime!"
In response, the three dragons simply nodded and quickly left the place.
Upon seeing that they had finally settled this matter, the magistrates went back to their respective places.
Peace and quiet finally returned to the inn.
Shillong and Arman got into Andre's carriage and drove quickly towards the Soderberg Chamber of Commerce.
The ride in the carriage was not in the slightest bit bumpy, although they were going fast.
The carriage was vast from the inside, accommodating three humanoid dragons without the slightest hint of overcrowding. Sitting on one side each, Shillong said to Andre, "Where is Sister Nefiro? Why didn't you guys come along to pick us up?"
"Yes! Where's Sister Nefiro? You didn't send her away, without having anyone to watch over you embezzling our gold coins, did you?" Arman looked at Andre with a suspicious look on his face.
".......... Am I that kind of person?" Andre opened his eyes and looked at Arman quietly.
"You're not that kind of person! But you're that kind of dragon! I don't know you yet!?" Arman looked at his opponent with disdain.
